The owner has been rude to me a time or two and I have overheard her being rude to other customers. I was very disappointed that my sandwich was made with great value bread considering the cost. None of the desserts I tried were very good.

Jalapeño popper cheeseburger was so insanely good, I had to come back for a second one ?. Also had the pumpkin torte and chocolate coconut cream pie ? , best dessert I’ve found in San Angelo. I will not rest until I have tried ever pie flavor here !!!

Wonderful sandwich shop! We shared the Jalapeno Popper Sandwich and the weekly menu Brunch Burger, as well as the Italian Cream Cake. Everything was so tasty!! The icing on the cake was fantastic, the Popper sandwich was so good and cheesy, and the Brunch burger was unique and delish!!

The coffee is nothing special but the pies are good. I ordered a normal small cappuccino and I definitely more got a water downed latte so that was disappointing. However, the people who work there are kind and it's a lovely spot to sit and read.

Nice little cafe in the library. They have a good size menu and helpful staff. If you are looking for a good breakfast about town stop in the library and see what they have to offer.

Had the Jalapeño Popper Sandwich. Upon arrival it looked small, but was just the right amount of food for lunch and has amazing flavor! Great spot for a quiet lunch where you can actually have a conversation!!

For what is a small coffee everywhere else in the world these people are selling it for eight dollars and calling it a large. I ordered a Danish and coffee expecting to pay about 8 dollars but instead cost 15.
I got an ice coffee with nothing in it just black and it was 8 dollars. That is honestly insane. Even in top tier coffee shops in LA, or NYC it's very seldomly 8 dollars for an ice coffee and if it is it's a flash brew pour over made to order. It's literally 2 times or more expensive as any other cafe in town including Starbucks. It's even more expensive than getting an ice coffee at a coffee shop in a major airport where prices are known to be heavily inflated.
A nice quiet place to sit down at the library with great food and coffee. Very friendly service with both to-go and eat-in options.I've been here a few times and never been disappointed.

Awesome little bistro located in the downtown library building that started serving a brunch menu today, so we had to try a bit of everything - Mom had the OMG and I did the Farmhouse and the Bourbon Bread Pudding French Toast which was the star of the show! Definitely will be back as I really want to try the BLT Jam and the German style pancakes. They also have a large assortment of pies, cakes, muffins, cookies, smores, rice krispy treats and similar baked goods!

Cute little place! Right inside the library. The key lime pie was soooo good! I also really liked “the cure” bagel sandwich!

This is the first time I dined at Helen's. The service was PHENOMENAL! While based on service I would come back, I won't go out of my way to order from here again. I had the Big Cheesy with pesto. It was over done and blackened, not just toasted, on the outside. The bread wasn't quite strong enough to hold in all the fillings. I also got a chocolate croissant that would have been lovely a few days ago but was stale, dry, and difficult to eat. Perhaps there are better things on the menu that I didn't get a taste of. Great service though!
Vegetarian options: More than most places in San Angelo
Kid-friendliness: Plenty of kid options and a nice casual atmosphere
