Masa Sushi Bar & Japanese Grill

This place is great. The atmosphere is chic and upscale, the service is great, and the food is wonderful. I Love Sushi, and I can tell when What's being served is Fresh clean and cold, which is exactly how it should be ，Masa must be my first choice of restaurant in san angelo. I can't wait to come back next time。

Food came out wrong but was still ok. The service was fast but messed up our order. .Edit. Yes, I went back, and it was worse the 2nd time a few months later Mind you. Food was just not satisfactory, and kinda noisy atmosphere. The service was the same.

came here on my birthday may 30 food blew us away. great place for the family. authentic Japanese food. it was so amazing I went again today. the bento box is superb. but the curry is my absolute favorite. great staff. 20/10 stars.

Went to Masa Sushi Bar in the middle of the week with my mom and dad. Always enjoy coming to this spot. We started with spicy edamame and a large hot sake, then ordered a sushi bento box, steak hibachi, and a couple of random sushi rolls. Everything tasted pretty good overall. The fried rice with the hibachi was kind of mushy, but everything else made up for it.

I’ve always liked the vibe and decor in there. It’s calm, relaxing, and clean. The service this time was a little underwhelming, maybe even below average. I wish the staff were more organized and attentive. Still, we tipped well and left full and happy.

All in all, the food and atmosphere keep me coming back. 5 stars from me.

I enjoyed this place a lot! My BFF and I had a wonderful dinner! Seafood was fresh and delicious! Sad that hot tea was not included in the meal! Specially since we ordered over $60 worth of sushi! Service was good. Atmosphere is nice! Very clean.

Sashimi deluxe was awesome

Specifically looked at the menu to ensure mango wasn't in anything I ordered. (Allergic). I ordered tuna tartar. Yellow ingredients in it...I assumed peppers or pineapple, as i had Specifically looked for mango in the ingredients. After finishing, yes, i found out it was mango. They need to update ingredients. They took it off the bill but it was an expensed meal anyway. Refused to take my drink off the bill instead.service is rated 1 star due to owner not updating menu and not being accommodating. Wait staff was fine.

I've been here a couple times before, though nothing particularly stood out as being superb. I ordered takeout tonight just for something easy. the sushi is mediocre at best, the tempura was soggy, and they clearly didn't clean the shrimp. I feel like throwing up just knowing I had a couple bites before I realized it.

The best sushi in San Angelo Texas by a long shot. Definitely a little bit more on the cost, but it's worth it for the quality

The food came out at separate times which wasn't that pleasing. My daughter's food who is 4, came out last but mine and my other daughter's came out about 5 min apart. It was very beautiful don't get me wrong, but the flavor, something was totally off on the sushi... Me and my 12 year old ended up getting sick the next day. Super super sick.

My boyfriend and I came to MASA because I really wanted sushi for my birthday dinner. We first ordered the spicy edamame which was very yummy per usual. He ordered the hibachi chicken and steak and I ordered the California roll and the Mango roll. His food came out first after a some time, which wasn’t bad, they were busy. 10 minutes went by and I told him to go ahead and eat so his food wouldn’t get cold, expecting mine to come out soon. Another 10-15 minutes goes by and he’s done with his food and my rolls still never made it to the table. After a little more waiting, I finally told the server to just forget it. There was never any mention about the reason they didn’t come out except for the fact the kitchen was backed up, which I understood, but why bring out one persons food and then the other doesn’t have anything? Nothing was ever offered to me for the issues we had. Our server, Layni, was very attentive and helpful, so I don’t have a complaint with the servers, but I do with the service itself. I’ve never had issues at MASA in the past, but this was very disappointing, especially for my birthday.

Great Japanese food. Large quantities. The chicken hibachi is nice. The sake is awesome. Try the mango one. Its smooth. Presentation is beautiful as well. The sushi is good.
Lots of seating options, Friendly service. Wish they wouldve cleared the table after we ate & paid the bill but we sat with a dirty table.
The mushroom soup was amazing. Prob the most amazing thing i had there.

Good food & service. The only critical comment I have is about their ginger sauce..it’s so watered down it wont adhere to your food item that you try to dip in it. �

The food was great and came out fast. The atmosphere was very nice and so is the staff definitely a good find I would recommend it.
