The Peasant Village Restaurant is a beloved establishment in the area, known for its exceptional cuisine and attentive service. Chef Jason's expertise ensures a memorable dining experience for all who visit. The restaurant's creme brulee is a standout, while the A5 wagu steak is a popular choice, praised for its tenderness and delectable flavor. The cozy atmosphere, set in a converted house, adds to the charm, with small rooms creating a homely feel.
Recent reviews highlight the restaurant's impressive offerings, from the "phenomenal" crab cakes to perfectly cooked ribeye steak. Customers have also enjoyed the flavorful truffle fries and crunchy steak and cheese egg rolls. The Mediterranean beef kabob and well-balanced cocktails, like the berry mojito with gin, have received positive feedback as well. The staff is described as great and very attentive, especially with their specialty drinks, including the old fashioneds.
While the menu is noted to be small, featuring only a few appetizers, one salad, and five signature dishes, the dining experience is considered worth it. Some customers have mentioned that certain items may run out, so arriving early is recommended. Overall, the Peasant Village Restaurant continues to be a go-to destination for those seeking an upscale yet comfortable dining experience in the area, with Chef Jason's unique dishes and the staff's dedication making it a special find in the west Texas desert.
