Horrible experience. Our table was served super small servings of rice and vegetables except for one person who got alot while everyone else was elserved peasent portions. I ordered the vegetable delight. Typically in a hibachi setting, the vegetable delight is served a normal portion of rice and more vegetables than other orders that have meat. I have never had a problem ordering this dish anywhere else as I do not eat meat.
This is the meal I was served for $16.95 (pictured) I literally had only ate about five bites of rice before this picture. This was supposed to be the whole meal? I waited and asked a man who came by and appeared to be the boss or owner and there was a small language barrier. But he confirmed that the vegetable plate is not very much. So I asked if it was the normal size for $16.95? You could tell he also thought it was not enough and offered to have more vegetables cooked for me. I was fine with until they came to put the new vegetables right on the grill where several meats had been cooked without even wiping it down or anything grease still on the utensils, the cook started making them. I stopped him and politely told him I'm okay without those because the cross contamination of the meat bits & grease all over it. I never usually need to be nit picky about this but typically hibachi is always cooked in a certain order with vegetables and rice first so there's never an issue.
The cook was understanding and kind regarding this and offered to cook the vegetables in the back, I was fine with that. The man came back and asked why the why those vegetables weren't okay and I explained. I wasn't rude or mean. He just laughed at my face and walked away. I was able to confirm he was the owner by asking the cook.
Very poor behavior from an owner of an establishment. The rest of the meal the old lady who I assume is the owners wife was giving dirty looks to our table, my back was to her so I did not witness this but my family next to me did. Only one person of our party was actually full from the small portioned meal.
They did bring me vegetables from the back. My original order was vegetable delight without mushrooms (allergic) and the plate brought from the back had mushrooms so I could not eat it. I did not really want to even if it was correct - not sure what they would do to my food now that they think I'm funny.

To avoid a scene, I paid $16.95 & tax for this meal pictured. I'm sure they do not care about any customers experiences.
I will not be returning. It's a shame the cook was so nice and the actual owners' behavior shit all over a family birthday dinner.
Waste of money, horrible experience.
DO NOT RECOMMEND!!

Vegetarian options: Portion sizes of vegetable delight way too small and not worth price.

The place is a hole in the wall and the service is HORRID. When i tell you this was one of the worst food experiences i mean it. The lady was talking about “miscommunication”, but had lots of attitude and was not very understanding of what were were trying to say. This is not a language barrier issue either, we were in full dialect but the service was outright horrible.

The food was alright, but the service here is horrible! The lady serving us was very short with us and was very dramatic. Near the end of our unpleasant visit, she slammed the check down on our table with lots of attitude. This will be the last time we EVER come here!

Terrible experience… I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! First time I had ever been, I’ve lived in San Angelo for years. I found a BUG in my soup and the steak tasted rotted, shrimp was tiny and discolored. The restaurant was not clean. I do not know how they are passing a health inspection. This place is NASTY. It ruined our date night, pretty sure I’m going to have food poisoning. I do not recommend that anyone eat here. I was extremely disgusted. The service was terrible, the “chef” was so unfriendly at the grill. DO NOT GO HERE!!!

Dinner was delicious here, our group had a great time here. The chef was really talented and made dining here really enjoyable, even cutting up the food in smaller pieces for the children. Overall great experience.

Kid-friendliness: Cut up the food smaller for the kids.

Love this place. The sushi is great, and every time the owners see us, they always say hi to the kiddos. Very welcoming. And the chefs are amazing.

I feel like I just burned my money. I would not recommend eating at this establishment. The owner was incredibly rude, I let her know that the rice was under cooked as it was crunchy. She then began to argue with me and walked away. The manager that was there came and asked what the problem was and he was understanding about the situation. We go two small to-go boxes of rice which was nice. But, the fact that I had to pay $30 per plate for us to leave with virtually nothing eaten off of them irritates me. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to eat.

First and only time I will ever dine here. OWNER is extremely rude! She started with an attitude when we were ordering. Never came to check on us. Half of our drinks were empty the whole meal as she purposely avoided us. Was brought the wrong drink and asked her to change to what we asked for and was charged for wrong drink. All the other staff was wonderful and very apologetic on her behalf while she stomped around complaining about us. Very unprofessional. Also, the establishment was unsanitary! Sad that my niece will remember that for her birthday dinner.

Chicken was raw, shrimp overcooked. Steak way under what ordered. Rice mushy. Waitstaff made us feel like we were a burden. Place is dirty. Didn’t smell like sewer anymore so we decided to try. Big mistake. Full plates when we left. Worse $100+ I have dropped in a long time. Left server a tip because I felt bad, chef stood around waiting, um no… Don’t waste your time or money.
