Driving through San Angelo and googled bbq and Smitty's came up with good reviews. So glad we stopped in. Brisket sandwiches were as good as I have ever had. Like that the meat is served without bbq sauce on it. The bbq sauce on the table is homemade by the owner and adds great flavor to the meat without overpowering it. We talked with the owner and his wife who are great hosts. Will come back next time in town.
We were in town for the day. Stopped here before leaving. And left satisfied. Food was great, service was fast. I cant review the Bbq sauce because i didn't need it. Brisket was tender, the fat was rendered well, ribs were just right as you can see in the pic i took a bite without all the meat falling off. Green beens were nice i got them as a double for my sides. I was too full to finish the pulled pork but i brought it home and my wife and she loved it. Will come back next...
