The brisket doesn’t pull apart and the “bark” is pepper granules that overpower it. Do better.

As good as the atmosphere was and as nice as the employees are it doesn’t make up for the point of going, FOOD. The menu displays a “Pulled” pork sandwich, however when I pulled the wrapping back I noticed it was instead chopped pork. I took a bite giving it the benefit of the doubt and met with the massive disappointment of super dry and tough pork. I had to drown it in my own bbq sauce to make it wet enough to still eat. Every good smokehouse knows that great pork gets pulled off the shoulder to serve to retain moisture. If you’re going to chop it and inadvertently dry it out at least mix a bit of bbq sauce with a tad of water to add to the pot of chopped pork to keep it from drying out but they couldn’t even do that much.

The meat was made well and the sauce is very good. It's very annoying, though, that there's no free water- that's a basic thing every restaurant should have- so minus one star.

I really don't know how or if people flock to this place, but I've been 3 times in 4 years. The brisket doesn't even taste smoked and was very spongy. It truly doesn't melt in your mouth. Not even when it is chopped does it taste very good. Maybe using the wrong marinade especially if it is sweet. The green beans, once again no seasoned we'll at all, eww i can still taste it. Go back to the basics salt and pepper/butter. The macaroni another dish that is prepared homestyle but taste not so great. Work on cheese sauce pleaseee. Better yet just use ricos condensed. The beans are I guess the least appetizing. I have never tasted so much cumin in beans. Once again, stick to the basics, salt, pepper, not to much since everything else is peppered, onion' and lots of garlic. If you can't help yourself the maybe a little cumin but I wouldn't. The turkey, this was the only reason I gave 2 stars. Yall have a great staff, logo, dine in area but I think you get alot of business because of location and people want some meat and gotta go. Oh and the sausage was hard to eat. The skin was so ooo tough. I will not be eating here again that was my last try but I know yall worked hard to come up and wish you the best. We don't know what to work on if noone tells us!

The staff were rude, I had to wait 5 minutes to check out for my to-go order because they were too busy chatting. The brisket tastes like it was marinated in lighter fluid before being drenched in salt. Even if they charged $5 a plate it would still be a rip-off.

Get the "Jailbreak." It is the best brisket sandwich I have ever had, and I have lived all throughout the Southern USA.
I absolutely love the Pitt's brisket!
I also really liked their corn, although their beans are just OK. Not as good as their other sides, which are to die for.

Ordered the Boss loaded baked potato. She literally cut the potato in half put a little butter and threw everything on it. I had to take everything off to cut the potato up. Also it comes with beans so I asked for her to put my beans on the side soo I could fix it how I wanted.. and I was told either the beans go on the potato or no beans, if they go on the side she will charge me for a side. Potato was still hard.

Great BBQ and fried fish. They have some of the best BBQ and friendliest staff in town. The mac and cheese is amazing.

Ordered sliced brisket and sausage with sides of cream corn and fries. I have pretty high standards for brisket, and overall, I found theirs to be solid but not great as it was a bit dry and needed to be eaten with sauce rather than alone. It seems like it was cooked properly but may be stored in a way that causes the meat to lose moisture. I would probably get chopped brisket next time. Sausage and sides were good, particularly the creamed corn!
