The establishment has changed name to Aces of Steak as well as the decor. Poor service, the bar tender / waiter and the hostess were more interested in finishing of two bottles of wine than service. The steak was fine but my wife lobster was undercooked. The bake potato was dry and cold. For the price find another steakhouse.

Took my young daughter here for our Daddy Daughter dance. She totally loved it. That was last year. It's time again, and I asked where she wanted to go this year. She said "same place" so we are headed back! She had the salmon and said it was great. I had the ribeye and it was very good. Our service was very good, and I am excited to return. She said she wants to get the same thing. I might try something new, but hard to turn down a good ribeye!

Steaks are good - a little pricey but cooked and flavored correctly. I don't know if a remodel was taking place, but the inside appearance does not match the posted photos. White painted walls and non consistent lighting. The atmosphere doesn't match the Steak House theme.

This is my 3rd time dining at this restaurant in Stone Oak. The food is excellent. (Chef checked on our table too) The service is very good. The drinks are excellent. The restaurant was recently remodeled. I think there may have been an ownership change? There will be a name change (apparently) in the next few weeks. Having dined here two prior times, I was familiar with the atmosphere/environment prior to remodeling. I was not too impressed with the remodel. Very open with a sterile feel. The music was a little much and a little loud. I feel like they are catering to a much younger customer, and not the 50's, 60's, and 70 year olds that were at my table. Note: try the Jalapeno Daiquiri. (It's not frozen) Spicy + delicious

Negative stars. Made a reservation for an anniversary and waited 10 minutes at the front door. Decided to sit ourselves since we were never going to get greeted. Another 10 minutes to even get menus. There was a total of 4 tables in the restaurant. If you're understaffed then maybe you shouldn't accept reservations you can't handle. Waste of my time.

We went to dinner here for restaurant week on a Tuesday night and really enjoyed the meal. For me, the highlights were the lobster bisque and of course, the steaks. The Lobster bisque had chunks of lobster, was rich and left me wanting more. We ordered the ribeye and New York steak with a medium cook. Both were perfectly seasoned and incredibly tender. We had the macaroni and cheese and chipotle mashed potatoes which, while not as remarkable, were still great companions to the delicious steaks. We finished with a chocolate mouse cake which was soft and just dense enough to complement the mouse layers. Our waiter was especially attentive despite being the only waiter for several tables. The owner came by our table to check on our experience which I thought was nice. Amazing steakhouses like this are not to be missed during restaurant week for the incredible deal or anytime to splurge for a celebration or personal treat.

I typically don’t write reviews but this one is needed. My mom and I wanted to enjoy a nice steak dinner so naturally we chose a steakhouse (had I read other reviews before going we would not have went). The steak menu is pretty pricey so I was expecting an amazing meal. I ordered a medium ribeye and salad. The first steak I got was completely well done and hard to cut. I would have sucked it up and ate it had this not been a forty six dollar steak. We sent it back and asked for the steak I ordered. The second steak was rare and barely cooked and when I showed the waiter he agreed and took it back to try for a third time. The third steak was rare as well and at this point I was so disappointed and tired of being at this restaurant (my mom was finished with her meal) that I wanted to leave. I told the staff that the third steak was rare as well and that we would pay but I think it’s a little ridiculous that a steak house doesn’t know how to cook a steak, mind you this is a forty six dollar steak that we were charged for that was wrong three times. My advice to anyone that reads this is to save your money, you are better off at Texas Roadhouse. The waiter was really nice and understanding but overall it was a horrible experience with a hefty bill.

Great atmosphere, everything on the menu sounds incredible, then the taste even beats that. Start with Lobster Cargot, you will be amazed, Lobster Bisque too, then any entree, I was enjoying it all

My first visit to 1718 Steak House in Stone Oak was for their restaurant week menu. The food was all amazing, there was not one item that lacked in flavor from the salad to the dessert. I really liked the Ribeye steak for the seasoning, flavor and the way it was cooked perfectly. The service was great and at the time we were there, it was not crowded. The food is every bit as good as other high end steak houses I. The area. This location is a bit off of the beaten path in an unlikely location but worth a visit for the food for sure.

Service-- Superior Taste-- Superior Value-- Superior Cleanliness-- Superior Quality-- Superior Overall-- Superior #culinaria aka #restaurant week in #SanAntonio #Texas The food at 1718 Steakhouse was simply AMAZING! The 1718 salad was graceful and refreshing with you wanting more! The 16oz steak was truly 16oz and filled me up, I didn't get a chance to eat the baked potato as #supper was filling! The cheesecake was good too and the service was attentive, the chef/owner cane out to check on us truly taking pride in his food, service and restaurant! The only detractor during the meal, the waitress served dessert whilst we were still eating our supper. No biggie, she's 3 days new, just an FYI.

We went for restaurant week and enjoyed some amazing food. The ribeye was out of this world and the NY strip was as good as the ribeye. My one issue with 1718 is the decor doesn't seem up to par with a fine steak house. Now I don't expect everywhere to be like a few of the other upper class steak houses, but definitely expected better than this.

I passed this place often but have never stopped by. Since they showed up on the Restaurant Week list I thought this would be a perfect time to check them out. The visit was different to say the least. First I pull into a pretty full parking lot and thought to myself, maybe I should have made reservations. Well when I entered the restaurant I can see the bartender waiting on two gets in front of him. He comes over to seat me and we enter the dining room. No one else was in there eating or even sitting except for the two guys at the bar. That was kind of weird and maybe a sign. I take my seat and have a scan the atmosphere. It is nice but a little dark and the chairs could certainly use an update. I ask the bartender/waiter/host for the Restaurant Week menu and the regular menu so I can see their offerings. He brings me some water and gives me time to look over the menu. Since I was treating myself I figured why not get a regular cost appetizer also. I ordered the prosciutto and goat cheese tostini, my restaurant week menu house salad minus the blue cheese, ribeye and cheesecake for dessert. I also added the brussel sprouts to go with my entree. Considering there was only 3 people in here, it took a while for everything to come out. First my appetizer tostini. It was okay but the goat cheese was kind of neutral and prosciutto seemed a little flat also. There was only a slight drizzle of balsamic glaze and it could have used more. It came with salad greens in the middle of the plate but they needed more balsamic also. They could actually replace them with micro greens on the tostini instead of the added salad. Next the house salad. It had potential but it did not land. Again, skimping on the honey balsamic and you could not see or taste it. The bread is baked fresh so it did not arrive until my steak and brussel sprouts did. The sprouts were roasted, topped with bacon and parmesan cheese. Again, has potential but the brussel sprouts have to be seasoned before you cook them not after. Now to the steak. I have no idea how they did it but the steak was awesome. It was seasoned, juicey, flavorful, and cooked nicely. I was pleasantly surprised by that steak. During this entire visit two other groups came in for dinner service. I am glad that I ordered first because their food took longer than mine. The server/waiter/host/cashier gentleman was working the whole thing by himself and still remained cheerful and courteous. He was definitely getting his steps in and did a great job juggling everything. I am glad I waited until Restaurant Week to try this restaurant. I would have a hard time paying full price for some of the food I received. The menu salads and sides could you a little bit of a revamp. This place has the potential to be great but the menu and interior are a bit lacking. I understand that we are all dealing with inflation, supply and staffing issues so I gave them 3 stars because this place could be as good as Ruth Chris if they make some improvements. Right now they are charging 5 star prices for less than stellar food.

Last night was visit number 3 for us in the past month! Steaks are impeccable and the service is always top notch! Will be coming back often!
