The food is amazing, one of the best BBQ places in San Antonio, and it's truly a hidden gem. The service is good and the staff is friendly. The atmosphere needs help. The place is beat-up and rundown almost to the ground which takes away from the experience. Huge pot holes in the parking lot which is already limited in parking spaces due to the unpaved road, and gets muddy when it rains. Very limited sitting inside (no A/C) and flies everywhere when not in winter. Outside...
Food was delicious
The issue is they are always out of food. We were 3rd group in line and they were already out of food. They ran out of 3 entrees by the time we got there and two sides.
I also asked for the chicharoni macaroni and they ran out of pork rinds.
The first time I went there they ran out of food right past 1pm.
It sucks because their food is great, there is just never enough of it.
