I ordered 7 slices of cakes, 4 different kinds because the coworkers wanted to try different ones. The birthday girl wanted the Deluxe Strawberry Slice of cake. It was busy this morning but there was only one cashier with at least 10 people in line. She wasn't rushing and spent quality time with each customer (good if you're the current customer, bad if you are waiting in line). The young lady rang me up and gave me 3 boxes, 2 slices in 2 of the boxes and 3 in one. When we got back to work and had her birthday lunch, we brought out the cakes to put in the middle of the table so we could all share. I opened box 1 - 2 Red Velvet cakes, box 2 - 2 Black Forest cakes, so I opened box 3 and got the candle ready. We were VERY DISAPPOINTED that in that box was 2 Red Velvet cakes. The birthday girl was bummed that we didn't have her Strawberry cake. I tried to call 85 Deg several times since we discovered it and no one answers the phone and their voice mailbox has never been set up. We are VERY upset that they ruined my coworkers birthday.

After visiting Teso Life, I stopped in for a bite as I remember when this spot was going viral for it's wonderful deserts. I purchased the blue berry muffin. It was okay. Costco is better which is surprising considering this is gourmet bakery. My recommendation is more blueberries! There were barley any in the muffin.

I have been here a few times and enjoyed it, my favorite is the hokkaido custard bun and I get it every time. Today I went and got two and while eating the first, I noticed there was only one quarter sized piece of cream and that was it. I know it’s not supposed to be like that and I checked my other one and it was full of cream as it should be. I went to the counter to see if I could exchange it for a different one with cream, like just throw it away so I could get a correct one. I only took a small bite and I didn’t want to eat the rest if it wasn’t how it’s supposed to be anyway. The employee was rude and said “that’s how they all are.” Well no. Every other time I’ve gotten it was full of cream. So I told her that and explained that the other one I also got just 5 minutes ago along with that one was full of cream. Then she just said “whatever go ahead.” and threw the custard bun in the trash. Sooo rude and dismissive and made me feel like I was stupid for wanting to get the sweet treat in the way it’s supposed to be. Makes me not want to come back even though I really like the desserts (when they are made as they should be)

Absolutely love this place. Tried the marble taro smoothie and it was SO GOOD. Their pastries are so good 🤤. I cannot walk past the window displays and resist walking in and buying something.

Here is my honest review.

First of all, don't arrive after 5 on a Saturday if you want the bread. All of it, GONE. I get its a Saturday, but there were only 2 types of bread left. 2nd, if you see the inside crowded, walk AWAY! Not only does it get easily hot, we waited OVER 25 MINS for 3 drinks... If they see that the drink station is overwhelming the staff why don't they add more people to circulate it... I get the staff is doing their best but also bad management!!!

But there are some pros to this store which are; the bread is good, when you catch it at the right time. Not only that but the staff are friendly. The drinks are also a good portion for their cost, ranging from 4 to 7 dollars with add ons like boba and lychee jelly being 25-75 cents. Not a bad deal.

So final outlook!
☆☆
Two stars purely because of the staff and taste of the food. But be warned, the drinks do take a LONG time to come out. Cake there is good too, with flavors like fluffy strawberry cake with white chocolate shaving on top or tiramisu!

The bakery has an enormous amount of different breads, pastries, cakes, and everything tasted great. The prices are very reasonable. The negative is that the place is EXTREMELY busy at all hours of the day. Very loud, not enough, tables to seat. Long lines to buy anything.

Moved here from Northern VA where we have bountiful Asian bakeries. I was pretty disappointed at the sparse selection on a Sunday afternoon a few hours before closing. Maybe this is the norm here. . . If so ok, but at least this review can warn others that options are lacking so do not come anywhere close to them closing. We got the mango cheesecake, cookies and cream mousse and the coffee crème brûlée cake and americano - all were decent. Packing is cute until you open it and your items are a bit smashed so not really photo worthy at that point. With all that said- the girl that rang us up was super nice and accommodating, told me about the mango cheesecake that was in the back and got it for me. Hence 5 stars for the service. Tables weren’t clean either but I got the cleanest dirty one so yay.

So clean every time we visit! Very friendly staff every time we visit. Drink menu is incredible. Prices are insanely amazing. The fact that this place doesn’t have 5 stars is crazy. Definitely go check this place out and leave a review. Love this place! Oh and their custom order birthday cakes are incredible and such a statement.

I was so excited when I discovered this Taiwanese bakery. This is definitely my favorite bakery in the city! They bake all their items fresh daily. There are so many delicious items to choose from- breads and pastries- sweet or savory. Their drinks are amazing as well! At times, they are busy but the line always moves quickly. I’ve never had a bad experience here. Staff is always very friendly and helpful.

I've been here several times, I picked up some items yesterday and was disappointed. They are either cutting back on the quality or getting sloppy with the ingredients and topping. One cashier who wasn't very polite and lacked experience. Very disappointed.
