I never been here before. It says it's tex mex. They had a chile relleno, however the pepper is not cut open and stuffed, like a relleno is supposed to be. Its all just sprinkled on top of a fried pepper. Which is peculiar. I've never had tex mex where they didn't stuff their chiles. They do make their own tortillas and yet they also seem odd. They seem almost breadlike, not like typical homemade flour tortillas.I decided to just get 2 tacos and rice and beans. It was very salty ground beef, the rice was hard and the entire meal kind of sat in my stomach for hours. I'd probably recommend corn tortillas. I only came here because my partners grandparents said it was good. I'd not recommend anything with flour tortillas or ground beef.Next time I'll probably just try a soup. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere however.

Chicken was dry, overcookedRice dryThe tortillas were way too thick.Chips just ok.We’ve not been here in years and thought we’d give it a try, and I don’t mean it to complain, but to help you improve. I’d want to know if I owned a restaurant.

Best tortillas I've ever had. They keep 'em coming, and you can buy some to take home for a fair price.

Homemade tortillas. Plenty of salsa. Food was prepared and delivered quickly. Don't pass up the first parking lot because they are always busy.

Loved coming to this location (right down the road from my house). Just found out Courtney is no longer there. Going to have to start going to I-10 for lunch now. Food still good, just miss good quality service...

My husband and I came back on April 1st. our waiter Joshep, was not the best, no "welcome" flour tortillas. Then our meal was brought to our table, and we have to ask to anothe waiter for the traditional flour tortillas. Then.....no waiter to check if we need something else, so we have to call him and wait for refills? then bill arrives, we wait for him to colect $ and wait, wait, wait....we just called the persone in charge of waiter. No tip on this occasion.******My family and I came on March 13th. Our waiter was checking if we need refills or box to take out our left overs, because our plates were big.Well deserved the tip!*****Delicious and we didn't have to wait on a happy hour.

We LOVE the Alamo Cafe!! We’ve eaten at both locations over the years and it’s still our favorite. Quick service and very reasonable prices. But the queso….is the bomb! Keep up the good work Alamo Cafe!!
