I recommend the shrimp chile relleno and the octopus, both are great, thank you very much.
Geat food, great service 😋. Lobster 🦞 tacos are my favorite.
Wonderful diamond in Stone Oak
Honestly, the best chips I've ever had. They are clearly handmade with a really nice atmosphere. It didn't feel cheap or cookie cutter like most mexican restaurants. I really like when food is presented nicely and they do a great job at that. The meal I had, had one of those edible purple flowers with every lettuce leaf magically hand placed as if I was some top notch food critic they wanted to impress. They had live music entertainment and apparently they do that weekly, which is even more impressive on top of their events. I saw their neat videos on instagram and had to give it a shot. 10/10 I would recommend. The shrimp and chips were unrivaled.

This is my second Time and my opinion is still the same no waitress you get there at 7pm order food drinks spend 100 dollars and at 10 PM they come to you table to collect 10dollars extra if you want to stay for the rest of the night at the same time u have to get up and get own drinks I observe several customers get up and order they drink's plus u have to order your utensils to eat and for salt this place has so much potential but they loosing money on drinks and good service not enough staff to go around and for charging the customer that already in the restaurant poor management I was a club owner and very successful time that's way I know that this place is not running well

Would highly recommend to anyone!
Beautiful little restaurant with an outdoor area. They have a variety of food and wine options, even if you don’t like seafood. Everything we had tasted fresh and delicious. The customer service itself deserves 5 stars! From the hostess, to our server, to the PR rep, we felt extremely welcomed and taken care of.
Absolutely loved their painting event too! It was set up so efficiently and we had everything we needed.
Perfect place for any occasion!

Great tacos ?
Given the reviews I wasn't sure this was such a miss. We stopped in during "pottery Sunday" where there were tables setup with clay pots you can paint up. Unique...but the food was anything but that. We ordered the Nachos-Taquitos-Quesadillas + Guac and the Coconut Shrimp. Let's start with the latter. The Shrimp showed up barely warm and it was kinda weird...not crunchy for a coco shrimp. The shrimp itself tasted kinda like it had just been thawed and it wasn't firm at all. One bite and the whole thing fell apart (see pic). The coco tasted like shredded paper...just no flavor. Next, the sampler plate. Taquitos were kinda crunchy but the filling had some kinda crema on what we think was chicken...maybe outta a can? Pretty tasteless. The Quesadillas were pretty tasteless as well but at least you could tell it was Monterey Jack cheese. The Nachos were somewhat redeeming but there very little meat and even less nacho cheese. All in all, nearly $30 for a pretty underwhelming set of appetizers. To be fair, the poor gal who was manning the front was also doubling as a waitress and at the same time setting up tables etc ..she needs to be paid well as she seemed like the one who was hustling to keep everything together. But when we asked for some salsa we were presented quite a number of hot sauces..as we were told this Mexican restaurant had no salsa? As far as atmosphere it was a bit eclectic with a DJ blasting to a 70s/80s disco pop vibe (a lotta bass) and there was an extensive bar with soccer playing...one game across all TVs. I think if you like that kinda vibe, their alcohol selection looked great! But for food...I'd pass.

Visited based on high ratings and reviews and left so perplexed. Immediately upon entering, there was a sour smell so strong we almost didn't stay. Salsa was unseasoned/bitter. Poke tostada was drenched in an overly sweet sauce, the tuna texture was soggy and not fresh. Pulpo in the coctel was tough. Shrimp relleno had small prefrozen shrimp with little flavor. Refried beans were watery. Rice was dry and flavorless. Veggie medley looked as if it was from a frozen bag. Service was subpar. Much better options for the price.

I’ve been wanting to check this place out for a minute but when they advertised Thursday jazz night, I was all in! I sat at the bar and took advantage of the happy hour specials. I highly recommend the cantaritos made with Dobel tequila ?I ordered the mojarra tilapia that was great and the homemade salsa paired perfectly with it. Definitely going back knowing that it’s kid friendly to check out other plates and drinks ? Staff is friendly and knowledgeable on the menu which is always a plus for me.

Restaurant Review: Arenas Seafood Lounge
5 Stars out of 5
We're from Vegas. People often think of Vegas as the gambling capital of the USA but they're wrong. It's the entertainment capital and the fine dining capital of the country, and possibly the world. So finding restaurants that compare with the ambience, attention to detail and presentation and truly original and great fare in San Antonio, has been a Sisyphean task.
Tonight, we found one.
Areanas Seafood Lounge is a hidden gem, nestled in a strip mall in the Stone Oak area. You could easily drive by it and think it was a two $$ rated restaurant - which price -wise, it almost is.
But the food!
And the service!
And the ambience!
It made us feel nostalgic for Vegas!
I was going to have the lobster and steak, just because I wanted a bit of both but then I saw the lobster tacos. Served on double corn tortillas with fresh cabbage, cilantro, avocado and a slightly sweet sauce, they were TO DIE FOR!!! OMG they were so good!!! And even the presentation was like home. Shelled lobster tails with flower garnish? Haven't seen that since we moved to Texas!
Wednesdays aren't real busy so the owners personally greeted us, and treated us. Luis shared his favorite Scotch with me and Daniella brought us a complimentary platter of spiced and marinated tuna that was nothing less than Vegas good.
Then they came by our table and told us about all the super exclusive and best restaurants and bars in town. They know. Their friends all own them.
In one evening, San Antonio became more enjoyable. We found a little slice of ultra-urban sophistication and they even have live jazz bands on Saturdays!
This was a good day for an expat Las Vegan.
