Came at 11am on Sunday just to find they were closed. Waste of time and a drive when they said they were open
Everything about Aztec Jungle was good. There is room for improvement but you won't be disappointed with the food; it just won't knock your socks off.

I was very disappointed with my recent experience at Aztec Jungle in San Antonio. The chicken I was served was undercooked, which poses a serious food safety concern. What made the situation worse was the complete lack of acknowledgment or apology from both the staff and the manager. Proper food preparation and professional customer service are the foundation of any reputable restaurant, and unfortunately, neither was demonstrated during my visit. I cannot recommend this establishment and will not be returning.

I honestly can not say enough great things about this place. I had the honor to meet the owner, his wife and family. I just wish I could leave 10 stars. I was only in town for 3 days but when I found this place the 2nd day we had to go back our last day there. Forget the chain or big corporate places. This place is locally owned but a great family and the food was so good. Next year when my son graduates from Air Force training I will be going to this place 100%....Thanks so much, I hope you have great success my new friend... Jay from Maine.

Update:
If I could give zero stars, I would. When I left a review, instead of showing empathy or trying to understand, the response was quick with excuses and policy explanations. A simple apology and clear communication would have gone a long way. Customer service is about care, and that was missing here.

Our experience here was very disappointing. The food was bland and completely lacked seasoning, and when I politely shared my feedback, the manager responded with a rude attitude instead of addressing the issue. On top of that, we were never informed about the extra charge for fountain drinks, which felt dishonest. Overall, the service and food did not meet expectations, and unfortunately, we won’t be back.

The food was amazing! Not your average Mexican place, this had different options! I had the Enchiladas Suiza, just the right amount of spice and the rice was amazing, I wish I lived in San Antonio jist so I could go here again.
