This establishment is a step up in comparison to other coffee shops. They have breakfast and lunch sandwiches as well as tasty pastries. Of course they have plenty of coffee types and even some beers and wines but you have to ask for their current selection when it comes to spiritual beverages. You can enjoy a nice conversation and even work on your computer because it’s not extremely loud. The service at the counter is great and they do a good job of cleaning the tables when customers leave. It’s worth stopping by.

The quiche used to be good. I ended up getting food poisoning from it. Steep prices and the salad frequently has rotten pieces.

This upscale bakery has locations all around town but I hadn’t to one in a while. I got the chicken salad on croissant. I thought the chicken salad could have had more flavor but it was good and unique. The croissant was toasted which, if I had known, I would’ve asked for mine to not be toasted because I prefer it softer. But it was a good piece of bread. The frites and the garlic aioli was top-notch. And the kindness and helpfulness of the crew was impressive. I’ve gotta return sometime to try the breakfast!

Came all the way from laredo to eat here. Their printer wasn’t working so all the orders placed during that time got pushed back 30 min. Been here an hour and still haven’t received my order. And these people didn’t even try to compensate anything. They just say they trying there best.

I ordered a birthday cake which was shockingly low-quality and unhealthy with copius amounts of margarine icing whipped with tones of sugar and sadly very little fruit & mascarpone filling between layers. Seems like you cannot deliver quality these days.

This post is specifically regarding the shift manager/ person in charge at the Rim location. We have been to this location many times around noon, and we usually come home with several of our favorite pastries, the fruit tarts.

Yesterday , I made several phone calls and indicated I am hoping to get 7 of the fruit tart the next day. I was informed the daily pastries are on the first come, first serve basis.

This morning, soon after they had opened, I called again to see how many they had in the store, they had quite a few and I was reminded again it's on a first come, first serve basis.

I decided to make a trip and arrived 3 hours after opening. I was told by the shift manager/person in charge, I am limited to purchasing 4 of the fruit tarts. I was a little puzzled because I have already called a couple times beforehand but there was no mention of the number of pastries each customer is allowed to purchase.

As a frequent customer, I think it would be helpful if they have a sign at the checkout counter informing customers about the limitations for future visits.

I also called the location downtown and I was informed they don't have a limit at their location . At the Medical Center location the business is slow so they don't put a limit on what a customer is allowed to purchase per visit either.

I would probably avoid the Rim in the future for their poor communication.

Great food friendly. A bit slow getting things out-to be fair they were busy at it was a Sunday morning. Pop tart is delicious!
