Came in excited to try everything and nobody showed up the cash register. A gentleman in the back (the cook?) was sweeping and ignored us. Oh well. We left.

Food was okay, very expensive for very small amount though, don’t get the St. Louis ribs the flavor is very similar to Chinese buffet sweet ribs. Brisket was good but again very small amount for price. Charro beans are very bland. Also they advertised mashed potato’s and a lot of other stuff on their website that they actually don’t have so that was misleading. Side note, they also have a kids outside area and while I was entering my vehicle some kids kicked a soccer ball to my car so beware parking near that if you have a car you’d like to keep from getting dented.

Food was awesome and the staff was very friendly. I had the loaded brisket potatoe and it was packed with meat,butter, & sauce it was so good and my mom had the smoked chicken and she loved it! Definitely would recommend ?

One of the best BBQ restaurants. At least this branch is close to the Cantera, both the food, the service and the space are top quality. Highly recommended for anyone who likes this type of food.

This place deserves over five stars.
The food was bussin. I ordered loaded baked potatoe with brisket, sour cream, cheese, bacon. Also the onion rings and fried pickles is bomb. The service was great. The atmosphere was great as well. Awesome music. Definitely coming back again.

Had lunch here yesterday with my daughter...the lunch crowd was gone...my brisket was so dry that it lodged in my throat...my daughter's sandwich was soggy.
Don't know if I will go back.

Okay. My rating used to be higher. Cleanliness is a HUGE concern to me here. I saw a rodent INSIDE the restaurant on my last visit some time ago. Considering there is a tree growing through the restaurant roof and the Q is cooked in a pit outside, I am not sure this can be prevented. For that reason, I won't be back.

I had a craving for BBQ this past Sunday since i havent had BBQ in a long while and my friends took me to this place. It was our first time here. The cashier was was a very sweet lady! Our food was so good and the sauces that they have on the table were great. Craving was fulfilled! We got the moist brisket, cream of corn, smoked turkey, pulled pork, all so good! The banana pudding was also really good. Had to go back and get another. Definitely worth it !

My experience was disappointing. The food was just ok and not worth the drive. The service was lacking; the 1 of the cashiers was rude, and when I asked about the missing brownie from my daughter's kids' meal, I was met with a dismissive response and no explanation. This poor service and lack of attention left a negative first impression.

I ordered through door dash and I had the bbq brisket sandwich… it was disgusting! It had too much sauce and the amount of hard fat in the sandwich gross! It made it really hard to enjoy the sandwich between the sauce and the fat! I gave them 1 star because their potatoe salad good but other than that not worth the money !!! I rather buy a bbq sandwich at QT! This is not Texas bbq at all so disrespectful to bbq. It’s disappointing when you have to throw away dinner and eat something else ! I wish I would have just cooked my dinner for me and my husband.

Bar-B-Cutie: A Barbecue Letdown

Our visit to Bar-B-Cutie in San Antonio was unfortunately a disappointment. With such high hopes for Texas barbecue, we left feeling underwhelmed.

The lean brisket, a staple of any barbecue joint, was anything but lean, Charles Barkley would make fun of the fat lean brisket. The pulled pork was equally disappointing, with a bland taste that hinted at potential but fell short. As for the sides, the beans were almost ordinary and quickly forgotten, while the mac and cheese was a surprising misstep. It lacked the creamy richness and cheesy goodness that typically defines this classic comfort food.

Given the wealth of exceptional barbecue options in San Antonio, we were disheartened by our experience at Bar-B-Cutie. We would recommend exploring other establishments to truly savor the flavors of Texas barbecue.

In addition to the fact that the food is delicious, the staff's attention is phenomenal, we ordered babyback ribs, brisket moiste smoke sausages
