I absolutely loved this place. When I first walked in, I could tell that everyone knew each other's names. And yes, I was an outsider...but they made me feel welcome right away. My friend and I enjoyed the small game room. It had beer pong, free throws, and a couple other machines. All your normal pricing for thems types if games. I especially enjoyed the outside patio. Smoking is allowed out there. And to top it off, you get a cool view of the Tower of America's. If looking for a small/quaint bar in the King William district, I highly recommend.

It's closed...there is a toilet sitting in front of their entry door and a large construction dumpster in the table area.

This place was pretty awesome in banging out dry rub ribs and brisket. Their mac n cheese is pretty on point with jalapeños, and the rest of the sides were amazing.

Made a trip prior to it closing due to Covid and cannot rave enough about the service and food. It is the absolute best.

My favorite place to sit at and enjoy local bbq when im back in san antonio. I often travel and tend to crave B&D brisket and thier choice of Texas beers on draft. One thing I also love is they always have that jug of KOOL-AID! Sausage is point on, brisket smoked, delicate, flavorful. This place is a plus with plenty of seating outdoors to enjoy ! Check this place out its amazing......!!!!!

When you walk by the B&D Ice House you will be hit with the amazing smell of delicious bbq. I had to stop by B&D for the first time because I had a hankering for some good bbq for lunch over the weekend as I walked by. The service was quick and friendly. I got the three meat plate with brisket, ribs and sausage. My side was the mac and cheese. The meat was good and tasty. The rids were my favorite of the three meats and the ribs were tender. The brisket had a nice ring of delicious fat on it. The Mac and cheese was delicious but I wish they gave you a bigger portion for your sides. If you are ever in South Town and you want some good bbq feel free to stop by B&D. I will be back in the near future.

All time favorite baR bq place!!! We hit it up every time we visit San antonio! Last time we decided to have a quick beer across the street, then walK over and grab some yumMy foods for the ride home...however we were informed that stupid Blake griffin (nba player) just came in and bought out what was left for that night....we were so sad...oh well, next time!!

We had the barbecue which give two meats and a side. The pork ribs were good, meaty, and the sausage was OK, tasty but not overly smoked. the beef seemed dry and uninteresting. Served on a paper covered tray. Coleslaw was good, mac and cheese filling but sort of gooey. Very informal, and if it were not raining we would have eaten on patio outside, more appropriate.

Buttery-good ribs! Incredible! Best ribs we had while visiting San Antonio. The next time we visit, this will be our first stop.

Wow !! At a conference in San Antonio and a friend paged my wife and I: B & D Ice House 6:30. So glad we responded by making the short trip over to this local gem. As other reviews have stated it is not much for appearances, but when the food and service is this good it's easily overlooked. We found parking across the street and headed over. Simple and straightforward chalk board menu. We each ordered two meats and a side and got the extra pickles/jalapenos (large servings for only 50 cents extra). I got the salt & pepper brisket and chopped BBQ beef with a side of green chile mac 'n cheese. Everything was amazing. Picnic table style seating and non-alcoholic drinks served from Igloo coolers on the porch. Seemed to be a one man operation during our time there but he was running the place like a well-oiled machine. Turns out our friend ended up being about a dozen friends so we filled most of the inside and had a great time with delicious food and a unique atmosphere. Would highly recommend this place to anyone the next time you find yourself in San Antonio and you're craving some great Texas BBQ in a rather unique setting.

After looking online for some good BBQ, we decided to try B&D's. You order outside at the window, which works since most of the seating is outside. They have a wide variety of beers, or for non-alcoholic, jugs of sweet and non-sweet tea and lemonade. We tried the brisket, ribs, chopped beef and sausage. The sauce is sweet with a mild bite. Although we liked all of the meats, the ribs and sausage were our favorites. The cook (maybe owner?) came by to check on our meal. Staff was small, but very friendly. Hard to say if it's the best BBQ I've ever had, but it was very good. I'd go back there if I find myself in San Antonio again.

We wanted to try some more Texas BBQ and have some craft beer after our trip to the San Antonio Zoo. This place was another recommendation from my brother in law. You order and pick up your food at the counter. Since we were eating lunch in the mid afternoon, we were able to get a picnic bench to ourselves and enjoy our meals. I ordered the brisket and chicken thigh, with a side of green chile mac and cheese, and a Live Oak Gose to wash it all down. The food was simple but delicious. I was not able to finish my brisket, as the portions were on the larger side. But then again, when is that not the case in Texas?? As we were eating, the man who had taken our orders chatted with us for a bit, and we later discovered he was "D" of B&D! Really cool dining experience overall and would return!

Solid low-key place to hangout. Very friendly, lots of kitsch / stickers and so forth inside, spacious outdoor area perfect for large groups. Food & beer were solid but the biggest highlight was the friendly service.

Brisket was dry. Turkey was good and Mac and cheese was good. Small restaurant with decent service. Not the best you can get around here.
