Recommend the Bier Garten Sampler Platter. It was a nice variety of good food. This was not the best German food I have had; however, I would still come here again. For drinks, we had the Red Baron Punch and Bavarian Mist. Based on taste, I would not order again; however, based on value, they are not bad. A lot larger size of drink for $9.99 than most places. The service and ambience were great, and it close to the Alamo.

Everything was great except that we couldn't see the River Parade. That was my fault for not checking. The music was especially impressive. That young man deserves a record contract. Our waitress went far above and beyond.

Had reservation but was treated like they had no idea when we showed up. Were seated quickly. Server was pleasant but showed up rarely at our table. Restaurant was not super busy but food took a very long time ( we ordered one sandwich, a jumbo pretzel and a sausage tower). Food was very good. Left smelling heavily of fried food like the kitchen vents were not working. Decor was German, pricing was fair for River Walk.

Apart from the location, which was on the Riverwalk making it perfect, the service, the food and the atmosphere were excellent. We had a party of 7 and we were helped straight away; all kinds of drinks available, good offer of good food, the weather was great, we were sitting outside, the place lit up with a singer on the guitar, singing well-known tunes. Loved it!

First lunch spot when we arrived on Riverwalk. Can't eat Mexican food for every meal right? Both of us ordered The "single" Sausage paddle. It was soooo delish! Pretzel was fresh and warm. German potato salad and German mustard to go along with the brat etc. The beer special was $9 for a HUGE German draft stein.

I had a wonderful experience at Bier Garden during oktoberfest and I had to come post about it in a review. Emily was the kindest person I have ever met and has such a wonderful personality. Wouldn't be the same place without her.

I live this place the food is good although I've only had the pretzels and beer. The service could be better. We went to the bar and they told us we had to order food from the table and to just sit anywhere. There are tons of people here on the weekends so you sit with random people. you can bring your kids but It may get a little loud like a lot of drunks...Our service too a while to get to our table when we asked another server if we could order pretzels she told us "you have to wait for your server I can't help you." So we waited and got our pretzels they were amazing! The beers were huge we only needed 1. Love the live entertainment. We will definitely be back.

Overall this place is fun to visit. Tables were sticky as well as the menus. Potato salad had too much vinegar. I had the fried chicken sandwich and it was cold when I got it. Husbands fries were soggy. Absolutely reccomend the krautballs. We got free beer which was AWESOME. Singer wasn't bad. Server was very nice and attentive.

I'm not sure why this place has reservations we got there and our reservation was not available as we booked it. The reservation system asked us to pick the type of table we want to set at and when we arrived nothing was available why make a reservation for a type of table. Had to set inside which was counter to why we made the reservation like we did. Inside service was slow and the staff seemed to be in a state of confusion. Food was good.

Enjoyed the good food and drinks and the service was outstanding! Had planned to stop at a few other places but after listening to the great music by Chris Cruz and friendly staff and great atmosphere we stayed and really enjoyed our evening!

Well the name claims they are on the river walk but they are not..this place literally is in a hole across the street from the Hyatt..next claim they have oompa band..no..a guy with a guitar..not sure any respected beer connoisseur that would drink great Bavarian Hefeweizen from a stein..service was attentive & pretzel was good..really no Oktoberfest vibe contrary to what they are promoting..,

We stopped by during our visit to San Antonio and enjoyed ourselves! The weather was perfect and we took advantage of it by sitting outdoors. Our sever was attentive and despite the restaurant being quite busy, our food arrived in a timely manner. The portions were good for the price we paid. I had the veggie burger and my husband had the Oktoberfest burger. We both enjoyed our meals. I additionally ordered sauerkraut which was tasty on top of the burger. I enjoyed my time at Biergarten and I am glad I got to check this place out during my time visiting Texas!

The ambiance was suitable for a German bier garden, with long benches and plenty of seating. The service was slow. I had a delicious burger with bratwurst and beer cheese on a pretzel bun. It was a filling burger that was a good mix between American and German flavors. The side of warm Sauerkraut was good but a tad bit over priced. All said and done, Bier Garten is a nice place to stop off for Tex-German lunching.

This is a nice German Biergarten venue that serves a decent selection of German beers on tap and in bottles. I haven't tried their food. I'm not sure their turnover of the German tap beers is fast enough to keep the beer from going stale. I drank one beer that was a bit off, so I decided to go somewhere else for a fresher beer. Usually a good spot. I hope they survive the Alamo renovation project.
