Great food, & drinks!! Definitely recommend the agua de sandia with the tajin, & chamoy!! *Update* I've gone back 2 more times and tried the birria torta and queso tacos again and loved it each time. Also tried different drinks with each visit. They don't disappoint.

mi esposa y yo somos puertorriqueños y nos encanta probar diferentes comidas de otras culturas, esta vez probamos las quesabirrias y unos charros, y mi esposa ordenó mini tacos al pastor... les recomiendo este lugar 100%, si te gusta la birria y los mini tacos este lugar te ofrece buen sabor, buen precio por la porción del plato y gente amable y trabajadora!!! de verdad que los recomiendo muy bueno

Don’t judge a book by its cover on this one! It may be small and tucked away, but the food is delicious and the staff are so kind. This is good ol’ Mexican comfort food. NOT a Tex-Mex joint (nothing slathered in queso dip here). The enchiladas have actual ranchero sauce. The breakfast plates are big and hearty. They serve menudo and pozole daily - super impressive. They even have pancakes at breakfast and burgers on the menu for *that one friend* in your group. Give this place your business, you won’t regret it.

Just ate here today last thing someone wants to hear while waiting for their food is a microwave… the birria is not done traditionally taste like roast beef the consume is beef bullion and salty and the enchiladas were heated in microwave why get a brick and mortar if you are still cooking in a microwave I shoulda saved my money I know how to use one too… I shoulda known why it’s always dead here never again the only thing good are the beans

Came in for lunch after a hot morning working in the sun.
It was refreshing, To have cold drinks and an area of cold space.
Food was great and hit the spot.
The people running the restaurant was very polite and friendly with a good attitude.

I've been here a couple of times and I've tried different plates like the ramen ,birria tacos and ceviche .They all have been good. I really recommend it.

Beware this people like to talk about you in Spanish . Accidentally dropped something and she went and called me a stupid butch in Spanish . Thank you but no thank you to the customer service

Birrieria El Jefe was excellent! Saw birria ramen on their menu and knew I had to try it. Did not disappoint. The Tapatio ramen provided the great noodles and general ramen-y flavor, but the birria was definitely the star. Also had a watermelon agua fresca which was also great - giant chunks of watermelon and they weren't shy with the chamoy and Tajin either. While I loved the watermelon, would have loved a sugar-free drink option to choose from - maybe some Topo?

Otherwise, was great, and would definitely stop by again!
