Amazing food and even better service! The
girl at the front desk was super kind and
helpful, she made me feel very welcome. The biryani was absolutely delicious, full of
authentic flavor. I also tried their Tandoori
Chicken, and it was cooked to perfection -
juicy, smoky, and packed with spices.
Definitely one of the best Indian spots in San Antonio. Highly recommend!

I recently visited Biryani Bowl and had an amazing experience. Update Sep 2025 - the food was as expected but the gnats were horrible... Met some old colleagues here (I suggested this place) and when we get there they can't turn off the alarm beeping and when our food comes out we are absolutely swarmed by gnats .. horrible ... I did see they had the UV light on over behind the bar but still no good .. won't suggest this place again ...

Previous review from 2 years ago ...,Excellent, I've gotten food from here multiple times, both delivery and dine in. We chatted with Diva some tonight and I'm so glad we now have a Indian Food restaurant on this side of San Antonio. We will be going back often for sure.

I ordered on uber eats and there was literally 7-8 hairs in the rice and also a piece of plastic like the rice was just boil in a bag. WTH

Ordered 3 entries with 3 orders of bread, got 2 correct, missing one order of bread and one entre was completely wrong. We had two people approach us, the first we told we were going to order to go, the second one told us to sit down and we would be served soon.

The food we did get was delicious, but the inaccuracy and missing (note:paid for) entres and bread of the very first meal here was a big turn off.

I would like to say we came in for a late dinner and still everything was freshly cooked and made with love. I had the manchow chicken soup which was served fresh, hot and spice just right. My husband had fresh fish that he ate to the bone the flavor was so good. Prices are a great incentive to come here often. Especially with the quality of food and service. Definitely earned new business from my family.

We visited Biriyani Bowl on Saturday for dinner after several great takeout experiences, but our dine-in visit was disappointing. We ordered Chicken Soup and Goat Biriyani. While the soup arrived quickly, we were mistakenly served Chicken Biriyani. Our server apologized and promised to correct it, but we waited almost 30 more minutes. A second server even came by, unaware of the issue, which reflected poor coordination. When the Goat Biriyani finally arrived, our server explained there had been a mix-up—our order had been sent out with someone’s takeout, and we likely received theirs by mistake. Though the biriyani tasted fine, the experience raised concerns in hindsight. Later that night, both my husband and I developed severe stomach pain, and I began vomiting repeatedly. We were diagnosed with food poisoning. Since the Goat Biriyani was the last thing we ate, we strongly suspect it was the cause. We have never experienced food poisoning from goat meat before, and we now believe that stale or expired meat may have been used in a rush to remake our order due to the earlier mistake. Our recovery took three days, and my husband had to miss work. While we’ve enjoyed the food here in the past, the service mishandling and the serious health impact have made us decide not to return.

We placed catering vegetarian food order for Vratham yesterday 27th. Biryani Bowl team delivered food on time and arranged everything and left..All the Guests who ate food complimented and enquired from where I ordered..

Personally when I tasted it I felt same, honestly food was super.. I personally thank biryani bowl team for serving fabulous food..

The staffs seem to be well trained to accommodate special requests and menu personalisation without being intrusive on a super busy day.Appreciate the culinary expertise of Chef Robert in balancing the flavours of chicken lollipop, the tanginess and spice levels were perfectly tailored to my preference.The food and service quality was truly exceptional, I can’t wait to come back. Rajiv Sir -you and your team never failed to amaze us :-)

The food was absolutely delicious and the service was equally wonderful. We got a couple of the lunch specials, which were reasonably priced and a nice snapshot of what is created here. Plus the portions are generous. A new favorite!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Run, don’t walk to this establishment! Can I give more than 5 stars?

Asish was a kind and attentive waiter, and the food was delicious. Since we had not been here before, we opted for the veggie lunch combo and meat lunch combo. We could easily have split one of these, but then we would have missed out on more wonderful flavors. Besides….leftovers!!!!! Reasonably priced on top of it all 🤗

Excellent food was had by all. I had shrimp tikka marmalade, spiced just right and very flavorful. Everyone else raved about their choice, one had a goat dish while two had chicken dished everyone whole heartedly said they'd go back. Portions were more than generous everyone took a box home with them.
