Excellent food everyone needs to try because it is so healthy Asian food. And excellent customer service they have .
Ordered the Paneer Tikka Masala and Vijayawada Veg Biryani. Both dishes were great, full of flavor and portion size was very good! Staff was very attentive and helpful in selecting the right dish describing style and flavor profiles since I wasn’t familiar with all the dishes on the menu. We were very happy with the food, it was so delicious, prices were reasonable, and staff was awesome!
Very clean and the service was wonderful. I felt so tired after a long day and the food just cheered me up. My family and I had this wonderful dessert, I don’t remember the name of it, but our server was the guy who made it!! Please ask about it, it is so delicious and I recommend ordering it
This place was so friendly as soon as me and my baby walk in greeted and asked if we ever tried Indian food and i said no it was our first time they gave wonderful selection for my diet since I don't eat meat or dairy. Very flavorful, fast serve. They were all very sweet to my baby girl. For sure will come again and try other dishes. Thank you for your kindness 🙏🏻 😊
This is a great Indian restaurant. The food was amazing. The Indian butter Nan was delicious. Also they have rice with other Indian dishes that are very delicious. Go and check it out. The atmosphere inside is like a nice calm lounge restaurant typestyle.
I keep ordering Apollo fish on Uber eats and you keep giving me Pakistani chicken curry. I think there's something wrong with your menu system
Authentic Indian food, spicy on spot,
Just a friendly PSA for any Vegans who may be ordering from Biryani Bowl off Culebra or a “new” restaurant calling themselves “Vegan Vibrance Indian Bistro” on Uber Eats: 🚨 Please do not order anything from this restaurant (Vegan Vibrance Indian Bistro) thinking the food is vegan friendly. It is not. It advertises as vegan and does not disclose that they use non-alternative heavy cream and butter in their products. I found out the hard way. Oh, …and I’m mentioning Biryani Bowl since the restaurant Vegan Vibrance is actually operating as Biryani Bowl off Culebra on Uber eats. This was discovered when I googled the restaurant (trying to find the location). I called because I became ill. During the call, I was told by the employee that they operate as two store fronts and he confirmed that their menus are separate BUT they use cream in their Vegan Vibrance menu items. When I asked why they called it Vegan and did not disclose that- he told me he was just an employee and couldn’t answer. He did however offer to take my number down to pass it along to the owner “Raji” and said I would receive a call from him. As of current - there’s been no call. 😕 Please save yourself the expense and give your $$ to actual vegan friendly restaurants who operate with integrity. 🌱🫶🏼

I ate here today with two of my friends and we were blown away by how good the food was here. The interior is very plain and simple so I wasn't expecting much. But when the food came out, not only were the dishes plated perfectly (gorgeous to look at), they were some of the best Indian dishes I've ever had in my life. We had the Navratan Kurma (a creamy luscious vegetable curry), chicken biryani, lamb biryani (both outstanding with grilled but moist tender meat, not too salty), along with an amazing grilled chicken dish covered in a bright red sauce (boneless chicken Vijayawada) that was not spicy, but had incredible spices and flavor all perfectly balanced. The naan bread we had was freshly made (the sign of a good restaurant) and to top it off, we had delicious rose milk and a Mango Lassi to drink. The lamb biryani that I of ordered was a bit spicy even at mild rating, but as the staff explained the sauce for it could not be made with less chilis without effecting the flavor. But if you can't eat spicy food like my friends couldn't, don't worry as the host gave them excellent advice on which dishes were very mild in hotness or like the kurma, not spicy at all. What is super cool, if you look at their website pictures, the food served looks exactly like the beautiful pictures of their food on their website. This surprised me and was an indicator that the chef takes great pride in both the flavor of his food as well as the presentation of the food. By the way, we originally did not intend to eat here. We first were going to go to Himalaya Kitchen nearby, but they were closed on Tuesdays. So we went to this restaurant and we're really blown away by the quality and rich flavors of the food. So great job Biryani bowl. Your restaurant is a San Antonio gem that I will be returning to whenever I can. I will keep spreading the word about your restaurant.
(Edit) On a side note I read the one star reviews after writing mine and we definitely had nothing dry, burnt, or greasy. Maybe on the days they went a new or less experienced chef was cooking or something. But everything was spot on when I went. The one thing I did agree with slightly was that the biryani has a high rice to meat ratio. But I still had plenty of huge chunks of meat and sauce, so it was more than enough for me and not an issue. Plus they also have a ton of other dishes without rice. I want to try their seafood dishes next time.
Can I leave 0 stars for service? Today I guess we’ll find out.
The TL; DR is my order was messed up twice d/t missing items. A guy hung up on me at least 4 times. Then he argued about the actual receipt and itemization that I had… then said he was going to Zelle me the money back. Of course that didn’t happen so I gave him a few hours to make it right.
Longer story:
Let’s set the scene: I’m so hungry because I’ve been sick and unable to eat for days. I ordered online which was not fun because of the website but eh. They can’t deliver to me because they can’t find my address. Fine. It’s only like 4 miles away but 25 minutes cause I love Culebra.
My husband, the gem, volunteers to pick up the food. He’s about 5 minutes away from home when the restaurant calls and says they forgot an item. He turns back around to go get said item… heads home again and has been gone for well over an hour. My family is stoked… we start serving it up when I realize my dosa is missing. It’s 10 bucks but in this economy….?!?
I call them back thinking the food was okay and I won’t make a fuss but a refund or credit would be acceptable. But no. That’s when I get hung up on and the guy repeatedly argues that the 9.99 item on my receipt is not dosa but chicken vindaloo. Anyways… maybe a simple apology would have worked. I’ll never recommend this place to anyone.
I’ll find a way to link a pic.
