On Saturday, April 27th I was recommended Blue Box by the concierge at Hotel Emma, as I was in town for a conference and wanted to enjoy some cocktails with friends and colleagues in the area. We collectively decided to end our night at Blue Box per the recommendation. There were four of us, 3 females and 1 male. Towards the end of the night at closing time, we closed our tabs and decided to use the facilities before we left the venue. As we begin leaving the restroom, washing our hands and waiting for the group to exit the restroom all together, the bouncer, a black gentleman aggressively swung open the restroom door, hitting my friend in the process on the right side of her body as she was close to the doorway, and began shouting at us at the tops of his lungs unreasonably and irradically "GET THE F*** OUT!!! GET THE F*** OUT!!" His tone was completely uncalled for and out of line! I have never had that kind of interface with a bar staff in my entire life! As we began all leaving, the bouncer and the bartenders all collectively shout at us until we walked out of the bar. There was absolutely NO reason for that kind of treatment!! Being a former bartender myself in my twenties, I understand that there are certain protocols to abide by in order to usher patrons out of a bar after it closes. The bouncer did not even knock on the restroom door, did not even assess how we were acting to determine how to address us (and we were FAR FROM belligerent), and just shouts at the tops of his lungs at coherent customers with an inappropriate tone and use of language in order to get us out. This man was completely OUT OF LINE! The type of behavior that you would least expect in a bar in an upscale location. Based off of this situation, I would not put it past this individual to have a pattern of extreme irradic behavior. And especially directed to three young and very classy ladies, I'm absolutely disappointed and disgusted with this behavior. Never in my life have I been treated with such disrespect. I DO NOT recommend this place, I did not feel safe in the end and clearly the space is unpredictable. Unless there is a change in management, I do NOT recommend.

Be wary of going to this bar. Purchased a total of 3 drinks of frozen espresso for myself and a friend. Tipped the bartender $10. Checked my card just charged $158. They wrote in 1 infront of my 10 and attempted charging me $110 tip. To the owner, it was 2 guys were working Sunday night, so it was one of the two that is representing this business as a thief
