The food has always been exceptional. However the service has never been so blatantly poor. We had reservations for a group of ten at 6:30 PM. When we arrived our group waited until 7:00 PM to be seated. Why? The music was so loud that it was difficult to talk to the person next to you. It took about 30 minutes before we got our drinks. Most of us just wanted water. Our food took another 30 minutes. From the time we had our reservations to when we were served was two full hours. Why. I and several of our party asked for extra lemon or other minor items that were simply ignored! Even though we were five couples of two, they automatically charged us a 20 % grituity plus the charge for using a credit card. On the bottom they are conveniently putting a line for a tip. Give me a break! In short, food is good but you have to put up all the bs. Is it worth it? I for one don't think so. There are many other sea food restaurants in San Antonio with good food and far better service who value their customer requests.

I heard so many good things about this place! The service was friendly but slow; the food was overpriced and underwhelming. Pay attention to the pattern of the critical reviews so you know what to expect.

Best Shrimp & Grits I've ever had. Husband had Catfish with Shrimp, rice and beans. He loved it. Server Ali did a great job. We will be back

This was my first visit to Bounon Street Seafood, but it won't be my last. Alex provided superb service from the beginning to the end of our dining experience. I chose the Salmon Plank with Dirty Rice. The salmon was cooked to perfection & seasoned well. The dirty rice was a different but much-appreciated side for the salmon & the little kick of spicy Cajun seasoning at the end of each bite was a surprise that I will go back to experience with another Bourbon Street entrée. We had a very pleasant experience on this wet, rainy, & cold Feb Sat afternoon. Thank you!

For $$, I got 7 fried shrimp and a small handful of fries. The food was good but scarce. Our service was not the best. You never reach across someone's plate to get a glass to refill. Ask to hand it over or go around the table.

The food was delicious and the service was really good. I’ll definitely go back. The portions they give make it worth the money.

The food was cold, and the service was horrible. The appetizer was crispy over fried. We will never be back to this restaurant.

I just had a very unfortunate experience at this location. I have been a patron at this location for 8 years, often visiting for lunch as I did today. Staff was friendly, I was handed a menu, the back page has a lunch menu on it...it clearly states Etoufee $15.99. I order etoufee and a tea. I receive a bill for $29 and some change...confused, I look back over the menu and see that the dinner version of the etoufee is $22.99 (this has always been the case, and they have been the exact same portion size for 8 years) and that was what I was charged for...I bring the obvious mistake up to the waiter who proceeds to tell me, "Yah but we are serving dinner all day long today"... to which I responded, "so are you saying you are not serving lunch today?", his reply, "no sir, I'm sorry"...I think my gripe is pretty clear, I was over charged for lunch (that they advertised on the menu they handed me) and they made excuses about the mistake instead of fixing it....if you aren't serving lunch, don't hand a patron a lunch menu...if you need to raise prices to your customers for whatever business reason, its best to communicate that prior to the customer ordering versus hoping they don't look at the bill...I over heard the waiter inform the manager on duty of my "gripe"...the manager never walked over to my table...and when I got up to leave I looked in this manager's direction and he looked away...I hope the extra $7 was worth Bourbon St...you lost an 8 year customer today and earned this one star review on your own merit.

I've been to this place several times over the last few years. Every time it has been good food and good service. I'm always surprised it isn't packed, no idea why it's not.

I usually get the diablo redfish but have had other fish entrees as well. Even the pecan tilapia was good. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of food.

I'm afraid to say too many good things and jinx this place as it always seems to have several open tables. Hope they stick around for years to come.

Defiantly love this place, the atmosphere is just as enjoyable as the food. I'm so glad they switched back to serving the Creole sauce with their calamari instead of marinara! The wait staff are quite polite and the owner is quite nice as well. Over all I can't wait to come back!
