Great prices for drinks on certain days. Bartenders are great.
Respectfully the security team needs a lot of more training. Seems like their hiring anyone of the street. No more professionalism. It's more targeting now in days unfortunately. So be careful entering. Once you're in you're good!
Nice place, make sure to take ID you will get carded. Drinks were good nice music plenty of seating area outside, they also had outdoor heating which was a plus.

This place could be cool, but there are some sketchy practices here. Spend your money anywhere else

Staff was incredibly rude and inconsiderate. Throws people out for being “too drunk” with no regards for their safety, even when they’re not drinking. Seems to have ulterior motives. Wouldn’t recommend!

Male workers act like they are running the navy with the way they treat and talk to people (especially women).

All the male workers are rude, and they play the same songs every night.

First time here, 0 stars, NEVER GOING BACK. Got kicked out for absolutely no reason. I think this is the first time I’ve been racially profiled in my own city. Was having a good time, dancing to music then we go for more drinks at the bar when out of no where the security kicks both me and my partner out right after we buy our drinks? We speak mostly Spanish, and that’s the only reason I can think of why we would be treated differently. Never going back, don’t recommend at all.

I really love the bartenders here, but the rules are too strict and unclear. I am all for a dress code! Just when it is clearly outlined, I can’t wear my necklace some nights and get told to tuck it in. My friend was told she can’t bring in her birth control, they don’t allow neck tattoos. It would make sense… if they were consistent with their rules not only between nights, but between people. Although I love the servers, they are also not transparent with the $10 minimum, especially on nights with drink specials where drinks are $2-$4.

I wasn’t allowed into the bar because of my neck tattoos. That’s judgmental, plain and simple. Y’all promote gay days on Thursdays and talk about being inclusive, but won’t let me in because of how I look? Turning people away over tattoos is outdated and doesn’t match the vibe you claim to have.

Worst bar on the strip. People were clearly more intoxicated and I was asked to leave. I feel discriminated against. I cannot say why they kicked me out, but there were others in the establishment more intoxicated than me. No bar should kick a person out who for one intends to Uber home, but is still sober. There was definitely ulterior motives, and of you intend to go, I seriously suggest any of the other bars on st marys. The bouncers harassed people all night and didn't let the crowd truly feel comfortable with themselves. Maybe I sound like a boomer, but I cannot be silent about how terrible this place is.
Young crowd over rated

Brass has my vote for worst bar in San Antonio. Went to emo night Wednesday. For starters, they didn't let me bring in my medicine case with me. I'm a transplant patient and don't go anywhere without my meds. I have traveled internationally and all over the country with this med case for the last ten years. Never once have I not been allowed to take it anywhere. When I told the guard I didn't have a car downtown I could go put it in, he told me I needed to find a bush to hide it in. Seriously!?? As I was with a group of 7 people, I spent the extra ten minutes finding a bush on St. Mary's and then worrying if someone would find and take it. This is just to get in. Once in, I experienced what it must be like to go to a bar in a police state. We counted 6 guards around the empty dance floor looking on with grim expressions and arms crossed. Not a welcoming environment to say the least. To get a drink they had to hold both my credit card and DL, and I was then only allowed to get my drinks from this single bartender. Another rule I've never seen. When a friend and I lined up to get a drink from her bartender, we were talking and the line moved forward without us noticing for a moment, no one was behind us, but a guard stepped up and told us we needed to move forward or move along. I've never felt less welcome in an establishment in my life. I get they want security as many people have been hurt there, (one more reason not to go), but I think people should just find another bar. Another reviewer said this place 'had such a vibe'. The vibe I got was 'inmate somehow allowed one supervised night out.'

I don't get why there are so many bad reviews -- this is honestly the only spot in San Antonio worth pulling up to if you're going out. There's no just standing around or awkwardly staring at people here -- everyone is dancing, jumping, and actually having fun. My drink of choice is an Adios MF and they are great here.
I've been here at least once on every day of the week they're open, and it's always a blast. New Year's Eve is always insane, Fridays and Saturdays have the best music for dancing, and Emo Wednesdays? Always amazing.
Apparently, they do ask people to cover up neck or face tattoos, except on Emo Wednesdays and Thursdays, which might explain why my friends and I have never had any issues getting in. Either way, this place is a total vibe -- ignore the negative reviews and just go have a good time.
