The establishment was absolutely 5 stars across in my opinion. The food was spectacular, the service was incredible and never lacking, atmosphere was clean and beautiful. Our waitress Bethany was an amazing human and very attentive. We will be coming back in every date night from here on out. The Qual was one of my favorites, along with the scallop potatoes. Must try guys

From the moment we set foot in the restaurant to the time we left fantastic example of service at its finest. We were seated promptly with our reservation and were treated with such attention, it felt like we were the most important guests in the restaurant. Our team of servers never let our drinks empty, cleared used plates so efficiently and they did it with the least intrusive way- almost stealth like. Jonathan knew the menu so well and could give recommendations with articulate ease. The roasted bacon was absolutely fantastic! The perfect balance of sweet, salty, smokey, with just the faintest touch of spice. Our steaks were cooked perfectly very tender.

We went to the restaurant and the menu looked lovely. We asked the receptionist to sit on the patio and she noticed how I was dressed. We sat at the table and there was no dinner menu, only the drinks menu was on the table. So we waited for the dinner menu. After a few minutes the waitress brought the dinner menu and didn't ask us if we would like any drinks. And we waited again for a few minutes to order our dinner. The waitress didn't come to the table, we got up and left.

We were having a great time. My daughter and I. The service was outstanding for the amount of traffic, and the food was excellent. I would recommend NOT having the chef slice up / split your steak and ensuring it comes whole to the table. Our 16 Ribeye turned into a 10-12 ounces. I’ve prepared enough Ribeye in my days to know what 16 oz of steak looks like. Shame. Could been a winner.

If I could give less stars, I would. I took my wife here for her birthday and because we had come in from the Riverwalk with ballcaps on we could not sit with the rest of the people in the restaurant. They said we could sit downstairs and then they left us standing by the stairs saying they had to find a table for us and the entire place was empty. We decided this place was not for us and left and went next door to a different steak house and had a wonderful dinner with drinks. DON'T GO HERE!!!

Walking into Brenner's a is a treat. One is on the top of three floors all of which give off a rich and cozy ambiance. We were seated on the top floor outside looking down at the River Walk. Lovely and indescribable. Our server, Nicholas, was great: both friendly and polished. He did a fantastic job explaining the menus both food and beverages as well as the history of Brenner's. We started with cucumber Martini and Old Fashioned, then THE BEST CRAB CAKE! I have ever eaten while Mark ordered the Crab and Lobster Rolls which tasted better than the ones we ate in Massachusetts! Main course was Lamb Chops with side order of Brussels Sprouts and I had the Miso Glazed Sea Bass. And we ended this fantastic evening with Butter Pecan Bread Pudding. Now I have a thing for bread pudding and this was incredible: layered moist bread!? Never have seen that before. Impressive. The chef is a wonder!!

Ok here we have a 16oz USDA Prime Ribeye, with Truffle Butter, cooked medium rare. Sides were roasted mushrooms and sour cream potato puree. The food was amazing. That steak is probably in the top 3 steaks I have had. The restaurant was clean and the staff were very friendly and attentive. We sat on the upper balcony over looking the river walk which provided a fun ambiance. The restrooms were clean and had very good quality paper towels to dry hands with. They get 4 stars because, although we were fortunate to have a good crowd next to us at the adjoining restaurant, that restaurant is Dicks last resort and the people there tend to get very rowdy. Personally, I think a steak house this good should have chosen a better spot. That being said, I will still go back here anytime I can.

5 stars. Highly recommend. It is very cozy and classy. Everyone greeted us the moment we walked in. Our server was Malcolm and he was top notch. I'd hire him to head my restaurant if I had one. He was pleasant and articulate. He offered great selections on wine and food. The house Pino was delicious. I had the short ribs and they were so good. Apparently the sauce has chocolate in it. I was amazed because the flavor was astonishing but I couldn't put my finger on it. It doesn't taste sweet, but however, they add the ingredients it is amazing. Shout out to the chef. My husband and had the cod. It was fresh and flaky. The mac and cheese and mashed potatoes were both creamy, smooth, and delightful. There was a live band playing downstairs. We throughly enjoyed ourselves.

Incredible steak, great cocktails, outstanding waiters/staff, and beautiful view of the River Walk from the balcony and patio. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a fancy and delicious dining experience!

Excellent addition to downtown San Antonio and the Riverwalk. More. More. Service, steaks, wine list all best in class. The music downstairs was perfect and being on the Riverwalk is perfect. We are from San Antonio and not much gets us to drive downtown but we will return. Soon.

The food , the service and ambiance were amazing! Coming from Cali today- this was the perfect stop for the evening. The steaks were superb and the lobster was very tender according to my husband. We were served attentively and they were classy about it. When you come to San Antonio - enjoy a great steakhouse! The hostess was outstanding! She walked us to our table by river without hesitation.

Wow!I have eaten at several of the country's independent steakhouses such as Rainwaters, Metropolitan Grill in Seattle, and also of course the chains like Ruth's Chris or Mortons and this place was hands down one of the best I've ever been to.I had the 8oz filet with Oscar sauce and tried the mushrooms and the mashed potatoes ( they have a different name) and they were amazing.Every single bite was perfect. I really dislike mushrooms...they were awesome.Plain and simple this is on of the best meals I've ever had.Our server Jorge was phenomenal and knowledgeable and perfectly attentive. This is not Outback Steakhouse so the most affordable steak is still expensive. But on vacation or to eat once in a while or even only once ever, it is COMPLETELY worth it.If you stay at the Hyatt Regency or anywhere nearby and don't go eat here then you are wrong. You've messed up. Don't be foolish. If I could take you here I would. Go. Take a date here and instantly get top tier status in your date's life.Enjoy!
