Friday a 1:30 and you're out of chicken. Do better. I wanted to take my daughter out for lunch and saw this place had good reviews and chicken, which is really the only thing my daughter likes. They were out of chicken, so we went to Countyline, which is never out. So, no, this did not ruin my day. I thought I was important to let others know that you could run out of popular items as early as mid day friday. Just in case they have a kid like mine or only care for chicken

Just stop in for our first time. Service was very quick. We order brisket, ribs and cream corn. The ribs were very dry and tough and we had to soak them in bbq sauce. The brisket and corn were very good. The brisket was cut thick and it was juice but was a little on the cold side. They gave free pickles, onions and bread which was a plus considering that bbq joints are charging now.

Outstanding brisket with incredible flavor and the ribs were thick, tender and delicious! Sausage was good and not real spicy. Loved the Coleslaw and cream corn sides too! Got it to-go so can't comment on atmosphere. BBQ heaven for a couple days y'all! Definitely recommend you try the Brickyard! Thanks for the great service Shane!

Good place to get proper bbq in San Antonio. I mean, you know things are likely to go well when you get out of the car and smell the smokers.Most of this review comes from the brisket. These folks have top level technique. The brisket, which is quality meat, is nice and tender, good smoke line, and a fine bark. A little heavier hand with seasoning would be welcome here.Sides lag behind. Cole slaw was nothing much to say about it ordinary. Beans were thick and a missed opportunity to play up the bbq seasoning.tl;dr good bbq with a lot of potential.
I was over in Medical Center and was in the mood for barbecue, as I usually am :-) so I decided to give these guys a try. The reviews seemed good so I thought why not. So my initial impression is that the food is very good but the value for money is where they lack. I got a two meat plate brisket and sausage and the brisket was extremely tender but lacked a little bit in flavor although good overall. The sausage was excellent with good texture and didn't taste too processed. Cream corn was also very good, the coleslaw was decidedly average. To sum up for the price of a three meat plate with sides at let's say Smokey Mo's you only get two meats with sides for slightly more money. And I would say overall the food is similar to Smoky Mouse. The value for money may have something to do with the fact that it's right there in Medical Center but overall I think they need to be a little bit more competitive with the pricing. Food and service wise, recommended!
Probably some of the worst barbecue i've ever had. The brisket had absolutely no flavor to it and should not crumble like cookies. The cream corn was not at all cream corn. The creamy part was pretty much just water and then all of the hair that I found in It just made me lose my appetite. And then the price compared to the portions was ridiculous. Probably won't be returning for seconds.
