I was driving by this place and I didn’t realize that they had one on this side of town. I live in Alamo Heights so I’ve been to the other daily bread. I stopped here around 9:30 AM and the two people at the counter both look like they did not want to be there. I said good morning and they looked away and said good morning, Which is fine as long as the food is good. So I got a Kolache, And he gave it to me on cold. I asked him if he had a microwave he said yes, so he warmed it up. Just wondering why he gave it to me very cold in the first place. Then I saw the girl interacting with an older lady that went in to look for bread, and she looked very annoyed because she was asking about the different types of bread. Anyway, I tried to eat the kolache, but it wasn’t very good and actually upset my stomach with a couple of bites I did take. So I will not be going back to this place and I wish I could take back my two dollar tip for my five dollar kolache.

Today there was an event at my school which led to a lot of students running across the street to Broadway. Everyone inside the restaurant was super nice, and handled it very well. They handed out waters, and let us stay in the building as things happened. I appreciate them for this, and believe they deserve a lot of support. Thank you Broadway ‹3

Unfortunately the service is not good, the bread/food is mid. I got a loaf of sliced white, 2 scones and a cinnamon roll and for the crappy service and price I can go somewhere else where they APPRECIATE my money. I really love supporting local but will not return, hopefully they can train cashiers to be friendly, mine was not and it genuinely seemed like a bother to help me, no thank you or nothing even after I left a tip.

I purchased a pecan cinnamon loaf three weeks ago on a whim, and the family and I absolutely loved it. Soft, full of pecans and a glaze all combined so well. It was the last one. I was excited to purchase another one the following weekend since we had my parents coming in and I made it my mission to purchase another one that weekend only to be told they only make them during the week and it was probably a day old when purchased the one from the week before. Ok. I decided to call and was actually told that they were short a couple of bakers. Understanding. I place an order for the following weekend because we have friends in town. After walking out with this loaf, I was extremely disappointed by the dryness and the lack of pecans and icing the loaf had. We were all disappointed. I didn’t say anything because I had already raved how great it was. So disappointed.
