The best pastries in San Antonio! Soooo fresh and delicious. The blueberry kolaches, cinnamon rolls and banana muffins are our favorites but we’ve never had anything that wasn’t absolutely delicious.I wish I didn’t need to pre-order the sourdough because that is just an extra step that I rarely remember or want to do… but the sourdough is worth it if you’re a more organized person than me!And the staff is always sweet but sometimes a little too slow moving for my mornings when we are trying to run in and grab something and get on our way. But overall great all around if we aren’t in any hurry. I also wish they had oat milk for the coffee!
In the past, the experience has been lovely. Yet, I think since they got new people working the front, they aren't as friendly. For example, today I walked in around 1pm and wasn't acknowledged. There were 3 people behind me waiting in line. The lady who was ordering basically was taking the rest of the inventory and she mentioned to one of the younger ladies helping her that they could help us waiting in line. To which she replied they can wait. And I was just taken aback because the lady who used to work there consistently was so friendly. Anyways, just left a bad taste in my mouth and I left without any product, as did the other people in line behind me. A little friendliness goes a long way. Sad to see this today, but hopefully there's a shift in the customer service.

Sorry folks but this is NOT an Italian bakery. An Italian bakery has crusty loaves of bread and breadsticks - hard and crispy, with and without seeds. An Italian bakery has biscotti, butter cookies, tri-colore cookies and regina cookies. They have ricotta cheesecake as well as the more popular - but less Italian - NY cheesecake. Kolaches and scones and muffins are not Italian fare. I'm sure they do a good job (based on reviews, but honestly I need to find an authentic Italian bakery.

To be honest, I have somewhat of a sweet tooth! However, this bakery served me some great satisfaction! I believe it is the best bakery in South Texas. We purchased the ginger biscotti, the macadamia cookies and the monkey bread. All left me wanting more. The people were especially nice and warm and the prices were good. Their shelves were pretty bare at 1:30 because of the Christmas season demand but i cannot tell you just how great these sweets tasted. Perfection at its best! I will dream tonight about my monkey bread to eat in the morning. Unfortunately the cookies and biscotti barely made it home and have been long gone ;) Enjoy!

I have been a regular customer for 20+ years, I have never been disappointed in their breads, muffins, cinnamon rolls and customer service. My last two orders I was disappointed with the cinnamon rolls were a little under cooked.
The bakery and sandwiches are fantastic. Love this place the sour cream pecan blueberry muffins are my favorite!

So convenient - leave through one door and enter through another just across the way.There are racks of bread (various types) just behind the counter area. Likewise, there are various sweet breads, which we were there for. Took home an almond croissant and a pecan bar. Both freakin' delicious. Only $6.75 for the two.The counter folks were friendly and helpful. If I'd been working, baking and on my feet since 7am, I doubt I could be smiling and be too helpful at 2pm.They also have cinnamon rolls, lemon bars and other yummy items.They noticed I was taking home some of my lunch and offered a larger bag to hold the baked goods and my lunch box.Thanks for being so thoughtful.Go there.

A true bakery. The amazing bakers start early in the AM, well before sunrise, to get the fresh treats made and ready for the people. The place smells nice and warm usually and great for an early morning start to the day. I dont know what ingredients they use but having enjoyed my fair share of the janky stuff growing up i can definitely tell theyre using only essential ingredients to make the finished product. No filler or substitutes. Just delicious breb. Customer service is great, ive only had a bland experience with one of the ladies behind the counter. Not worth the criticism. The others have been courteous and helpful every time. Delicious Kolaches that tend to sell quickly. I like to take them and some biscotti or a cinnamon roll home and toast in the air fryer a few minutes to add a smidge more browning and texture to the treats, not that theyre under by any means. Just a preference of mine that would be worth a try if you can wait long enough before eating em.
