“Lived in Singapore, hong kong, Taiwan & seoul (s korea) & many other asian countries helped me to develop a good palate of good tasty asian food. Unfortunately, there aren many competitors of dim sum hk eatery in San Antonio Tx.

I go in weekends, there are push food cart with congee & more varieties of dim sum than wkdays. It gets very crowded & long line to get in . I Like the busy ambiance: remind me of hongkong:)

Over at Golden Wok; You have to know what to order; only certain dishes are better than others.i wish they use lesser MSG: I get very thirsty after a meal.

I love the seafood panfried noodles (ask for extra sauce) & macau fried flat rice noodles with beef: i usually ask for little more sauce otherwise it is quite blend (authentic: hong kong style).

Dim sum is great! Such as Har gau, siu mai, lor mai gai, black beans garlic ribs (can be very chewy, the meat should me more tender but the sauce is good enough). The fried flat shrimps with chives dumplings are pretty good. Har cheong fun (shrimps wrapped with rice flat noodles : drizzle over with sweet/salty soya sauce is good.

My fave is char siu so: very meaty & juicy, better than the char siu bau which has less meat (taste is exactly the same as the char siu so; quite tasty. Lor mai gai is quite good. Wish they have fried shrimp rolls.

Desserts: Usually i will be so full : never try their desserts. I wish they have bake bor law bau with milk crumbs on top & filled with coconut & custard. Yum!!

Morning Parking on weekends may be a little challenging. Weekdays : plenty parking. They don’t accept reservations even for big groups.“
