Upon entering the establishment, I observed patrons glancing at me. While I was patiently waiting for a waiter to seat me, I approached the kitchen counter and inquired about the seating arrangements. The staff responded by simply inviting me to take a seat. I proceeded to order my meal.
Despite the food being hot, it lacked flavour and tasted as if it had been prepared in a can. Furthermore, the silverware was visibly dirty. I had pushed my plate to the side, expressing my dissatisfaction with the meal. However, instead of addressing my concerns or offering any assistance, the staff handed me my ticket. I had previously informed them of my dissatisfaction with the meal.
Subsequently, I encountered an unpleasant exchange of glances and attitudes from the staff. I believe the owner then emerged to present me with the ticket and demanded payment for a salad. The owner continued to assert that the food and sauces were prepared daily and expressed displeasure at my suggestion that the food tasted canned.

My husband and I had one of our first fancy dinners here so it has a soft spot in our hearts. We do enjoy their alfredo sauce so we'll come back in the future but I hope they take this criticism as helpful feedback.

Their tomato bread is enjoyable but they burnt ours. Also it is literally tomato slices on cheesy bread so don't order it and expect anything extra with it.

We had tortellini primavera which tasted great but the squash was hard to eat. They were cut in massive thick slices so it took a lot of effort to chew. It made the dish harder to eat and the flavor of the sauce got lost with it. I also did not like how the shrimp still had their tails on. I don't like eating the tails or skin so I had to get my hands messy to eat this dish.

Their salads are very lacking too. It's roughly chopped iceberg lettuce and red onions. It's sad to say that olive garden does salads way better.

Overall still tasty food but for the high price, I'd be hesitant to come back. The servers do the best they can which is appreciated. I love the atmosphere though the bathroom could use some TLC. Hopefully they can improve their menu whenever we decide to come back in the future.

Stopped in for a quick dinner. The meat ravioli with meatball had a little too much water on the plate from the boiling which didn’t mix well with the marinara sauce. The Fettuccine Alfredo was really good and maybe one of their best dishes. Being in a hurry, I didn’t order the pizza as it takes a little longer to cook, but that’s without a doubt the best dish. Next time I’ll stick with the amazing pizza.

It is a nice location that is clean and the service was exceptional. Definitely worth a visit.

Good food, two levels of dining; stairs to 2nd level. Gets loud when crowded. Reservation suggested.

Typical American Italian food but very tasty. We had calamari, artichoke dip, garlic bread, salads, and four different entrees as well as two bottles of wine. One of the entrees was fettuccine primavera with shrimp in a very light sauce. It seemed under seasoned and/or the pasta water wasn't salted. The salad with house dressing was over dressed; ask for the dressing in the side. Service was great and it's a very pleasant atmosphere. Once it gets to be a full house, it gets noisy. I recommend going to an early dinner and make a reservation. There is seating on both the first floor and the second floor (walk up stairs.)

Vegetarian options: Eggplant Parmesan, salad, artichoke dip, etc

Parking: Several parking spots out front and on the side.

Kid-friendliness: Probably not

Wheelchair accessibility: Ask for first floor seating and make a reservation in advance.

Small over priced food, the service was slow for lunch time. The gluten free pasta was cross contaminated and got sick the second time I was there but not the first so it might be something going on in the kitchen.

A bit disappointing! I wish the sauce and cheese was better distributed, all it did was make parts of the food a bit cold :( Anyway, I did end up eating it, and it tasted just okay. It was very bland. Everyone else at the table really enjoyed their food, so maybe it was just this particular item I got

Was excited to try this place for some good Italian fare. Service was inconsistent. Table next to us got offered fresh pepper on their salad, that would have been nice. Ordered an appetizer, & 2 entrees. One of the entrees came out with the wrong protein, and was fixed shortly. Both pastas were incredibly bland. I was shocked my store bought pasta and pesto was easily superior to the bland flavors experienced. Do they taste the food before they send it out? The total came to around $60, which is very steep for the quality of food and service experience. I want to like this place, but I am not impressed. Probably will not be returning. Disappointed in the food and lack of flavor along with inconsistency of service.

Capparelli's on Main offers a taste of classic Italian fare in a cozy setting. While the quality of their ingredients is evident, I found the lunch pricing a bit steep for what I ordered.

My meal consisted of a small meatball sandwich, a side salad, and tea, totaling $14. While the bread was excellent, the portion felt a bit excessive. I ended up removing the bottom slice and enjoying it open-faced to balance the meal. The meatballs themselves were flavorful, though perhaps a little undersized for the price point.

Despite these minor quibbles, Capparelli's remains a charming spot for a casual Italian meal. The atmosphere is inviting, and the service is friendly. For those seeking a more budget-friendly lunch option, I'd suggest exploring their other menu items or perhaps timing your visit for a less expensive meal period.

Disappointed, I went here with high anticipation while spending a weekend in San Antonio, and was looking for a good Italian bite with friendly service and reasonable prices. Prices OK. Food, terrible, I would feed this to my enemies - maybe not actually, it’s that bad. Service was mediocre and it was busy and the bosses just seemed lousy.

Fresh and flavorful food, great service and a nice atmosphere if you're feeling like having an elevated italian dining experience that is still affordable and comfortable.

Food and service at this location never disappoints. Very clean establishment, food always tastes great, waitstaff very professional and courteous. My husband and I were waited on by Chris who gave us great service. Our only recommendation would be to serve salads in bowls instead of plates to prevent veggies from falling onto the table. Otherwise, great job guys!
