Food was excellent as usual. We've been going to Cappy's once or twice a month for years. This time it was for my birthday. Although I did not mention my birthday when I made the reservation, when they seated my wife and I there was a birthday card on our table. They made it a very special evening for me! It was a surprise and an extraordinary night.

Cappy's is consistently good, and the service is excellent. I love how the menu keeps the old favorites yet remains up to date. There's a good reason they have been in business as long as they have. Thanks for a lovely birthday lunch.

We return to Cappy's every few weeks. Food is always very good and specials are often amazing. Highly recommended.

Great food and portions were right for the price. I'd suggest eating outside if the weather permits.

Sean, our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable and steered us in the right direction. the Shrimp and Brussels Kimchi was especially flavorful. the Pork Milanese was delicious. I liked the arugula but there was too much of it.

Cappy's continues to be one of our favorite restaurants in San Antonio. The food and service are outstanding. We had the fried shrimp, crab cake and salmon. All were great.

Service was a little spotty, despite it looking like there were many servers... and food was a little less enjoyable than we remember it being. We will try again another time.

I had an amazing dining experience at Cappy's Restaurant. The food was excellent from start to finish, and the Mustang Chicken was absolutely outstanding—perfectly cooked, flavorful, and memorable. Our waiter provided top-notch service: courteous, prompt, and highly professional, making the entire evening even more enjoyable. Cappy's truly delivers on both quality and hospitality. Highly recommend!

Beautiful restaurant - met a friend for brunch. The brunch selections were decadent. I had a Benedict with lump crab and she had truffle eggs with lobster. The cocktails were also delicious! It was a bit hot to sit outside , but the patio looked nice

Delicious food! Great waiter (Justin) who took over for the grumpy guy! Always a solid meal at Cappys. One suggestions is better options for wines by the glass.

Fantastic place with a neighborhood restaurant feel which is delightful. The gumbo and the sticky toffee pudding are amazing.

The menu selections were delightful, and the food was completely exquisite, as always. However, the service was horribly slow and inattentive, with long gaps of no service at all. We had to wait a long time for a single dessert menu we had to share, & were not provided with it until we hunted our absent waitress down to provide same. Then when we asked for the bill, our waitress decided it was more of a priority to her to first clear our table while chatting with us than to bring the bill. Then we were finished with our desserts before she finally brought the receipt for signature. I hate being held hostage by a waitress, and we certainly were so last night, with our meal dragging on for close to 3 hours.

Service was not timely. Didn't get a spoon for my coffee. Had to ask for the bread basket 3 times. Benedict's could have used more sauce. Potatoes were over cooked. Fruit had no flavor.

The checking process and seamless. We were escorted to our table and the hostess was fantastic. Once seated , our server did greet us and provide us drinks however was not extremely friendly or welcoming. The crabcake we ordered for our appetizer was off the chart great and the best we've ever had. However, our entrées were just OK. We ordered the ribeye steak and the pork breaded. Ribeye had a hard grizzle in the middle and was over salted . For what we paid and other shared reviews we expected more and most likely not return .

Came here for my best friend’s birthday dinner last night, food and service was amazing as always! Rhys was the sweetest server and made the experience even better. We got the beef tenderloin, mustang chicken, fried gulf shrimp, and the salmon dish… let me tell you, NOTHING disappointed. We got the mac as a side to try and it was nothing like we expected, 10x better. The crème brûlée was just as I remembered too. From the bar, their pomegranate sour is 10/10.

If you haven’t been by, definitely give it a try!
