There's an angry male bartender, watch out. Didn't get his name sorry.

The whole staff is amazing. They gave suggestions and when we sat down and got our food we had at least three people come around asking if we were good. Love this place for the food and the staff.

Cheba Hut on Redland Road isn't just a sandwich shop; it's an experience. The moment you step inside, you're greeted by a chill vibe and even chiller staff. The sandwiches are a culinary masterpiece, each bite a symphony of flavors that'll leave you craving more. But the real magic happens behind the bar.

Julio and Ori, the resident mixology wizards, are not just bartenders; they're artists. They transform simple ingredients into complex, mind-bending concoctions that are as visually stunning as they are delicious. Their passion for their craft is evident in every drink they create. They're not just pouring drinks; they're crafting experiences.

The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, always going the extra mile to ensure a fantastic visit. Whether you're a regular or a first-timer, you'll feel right at home.

If you're looking for a place to unwind, enjoy great food, and sip on extraordinary drinks, Cheba Hut on Redland Road is the place to be. A huge shoutout to Julio and Ori for elevating the drinking experience to new heights!

I met my sisters here for lunch today and while the sandwiches have brought us back several times, today the encounter with the store manager was terrible and very disappointing! After we ate lunch my sister walked to the counter to ask for foil so we could take our sandwiches to-go. The manager sarcastically responded, “sure, it’s not like we’re busy or anything”. When my sister returned to the table and told us what was said we were all stunned. I have worked in the service industry and I get being busy and having a lot going on but I would NEVER make a comment like that to a customer, a polite customer none the less! When we asked to speak to the manager he owned up to saying that comment and then said “I didn’t mean any disrespect by it” well then what did you mean because that is a disrespectful response to a simple request. Though the food was good, I would not recommend supporting a restaurant that allows a server, let alone the manager, to be that disrespectful to their customers.

I would not recommend going to this restaurant if you are looking for a pleasant encounter with the staff. After we ate lunch my sister walked to the counter to ask for foil so we could take our sandwiches to-go. The manager sarcastically responded, “sure, it’s not like we’re busy or anything”. Having been a server myself, I understand feeling overwhelmed during the lunch rush, but I would not speak to a customer that way. Though the food was good, I would not recommend supporting a restaurant that allows a server, let alone the manager, to be that disrespectful to their customers.

Fun sandwich restaurant and bar with a reggae vibe. Great sandwiches.

Kid-friendliness: I would say no. Maybe for lunch.

Nothing more frustrating than placing a simple two sandwich order to go then driving 15 minutes home to realize the order is wrong and having to throw half of it in the trash ?

Stoner themed sandwich shop serving some quality sandwiches. We took ours to go but the bar looked nice and the pricing was good. Food was delicious.

The BEST sandwich spot in San Antonio, hands down! I had the “Thai Stick” & it was delicious!! My wife had Apollo 13 and she says it was awesome. The bread may be the difference maker here, truly the “Best Bread in the Business!” - As advertised. Gotta try it out if you live in MILCITY!! ?? ?

Definitely coming back!

I found this spot through online suggestions, having to be nearby for business. The environment is quirky and fun, the food was solid.

This is our new go to sandwich/sub place. Great food. Our daughter and her boyfriend introduced us to Cheba Hut. Fantastic. Loved everything about this place. Decor, friendliness of staff, all around great experience. Looking forward to next visit!
