Church's Texas Chicken

I don’t recommend this location. The food is dry, hard, old and the servings are inaccurate. Smaller portions than it should be. It is terrible. The employees look to be under the influence of drugs.

Service was good the lady was polite, I ordered white gravy and brown the brown gravy was good while the white gravy was really watery and in clumps there was black spots in it and it looks like mold and it has a funky smell to it.

All my food was good but the gravy got tenders with country gravy when I got home it looked like the gravy wasn't even cooked it was white and watery n had clumps of flour on bottom of container

very shitty service from the staff and rose and dont anwser the phone and takes it off the line to make it a busy service signal,need to rehire a whole night staff team cause the night staff gonna be the reason the resturant closes. Making up excuses to not cook ready to prep food

I had a terrible experience at this church’s chicken located 1302 Castroville Rd, 78237. The staff was rude and unhelpful, and charged my card for more than what I had bought there. I purchased one order of a 10pc-leg, thigh family meal, and was double charged! The manager-Pedro had a condescending attitude, very unprofessional when I asked him for my reimbursement! I have filed a complaint with church’s cooperate and no one has reached out to me. Very poor customer service! I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Parking: The restaurant building is surrounded by homeless folks, and they’re walking around panhandling all over the parking.

No tea,no change of $20, no drive thru open, I just went somewhere else.

Upon careful consideration was only wanting a replacement of chicken but was not granted a success and was conflicted by such hasty responses(Rose#@#). Was not sure of attitude that was also subjected to and made attempts to refute that by answering that was not a indication to resolving the problem. I was told basically no luck in hearing my complaint or adjusting my order. Well my bank will investigate and offered to avoid that, but she said no and of course that would have been more easier than not but I'll let my bank take care of that but having to lose business is not smart. A customer subject to putting a 0 review is also not good. And sending this to bank is not good for business as well I usually have better success rate this way ty for your time and let others know what may be here. Plus I also have to mention another customer had told me he doesn't frequent this store because they use the same fryers for everything and that's why you don't get the chicken flavor you should. Big fail there. Makes sense and I would complain if that is true. Your welcome.

Got a 2 piece with fries, and the fries weren't ready, they told me to wait a few minutes after 7 minutes went by and I walked up to the window and the gentleman said, Oh shit I forgot about your fries, and handed me fries. When I got home noticed the fries were a little browner than usual and when you bit into the fries there was no potato inside because it was over-burned inside and the chicken tasted like freezer burn???

To tell you the truth I ? after i ate both drumsticks!!! Never Ever going back here again.

The wait time at 7p was quoted as 25min. This was after ordering online 15min til 7p. From the time the online order was submitted till the time I got the food (16pc) it was 40min. Maybe they need to hire more ppl

Unfortunately for me the speaker was not working well so they heard me say that I wanted four pies and a fry which I only wanted one pie and a fry so when I got to the window my order was $14.00 and I told them to read my order back and they read me a large order I explained to them that their speaker was not working well and that I could not understand what they were saying but they told me that they could hear me clearly and that I said yes I wanted four packs of pies and a large fry which I didn't even though they did reimburse me they couldn't reimburse me back on my credit card they had to give me back cash and I didn't feel like the manager liked does she have to reimburse me back my money
