Church's Texas Chicken

Out of all the Church's locations, I have to say this location is the BEST by far. If you go before 2pm, the chicken will be served fresh. They change the cooking oil frequently because my chicken always comes out perfect. It's not dark, hard, overcooked, or cold like at other locations. That's why I don't mind driving way out there for some fresh chicken. The drive-thru lady Debbie is so nice. She's always smiling, great customer service. I've never seen her upset or sad. It's the BEST Church's location in San Antonio, TX. I MUST SAY!

Can’t get a hold of anyone concerning an order. Terrible at answering the phone.

The manager/supervisor has an attitude issue. I was asking about the posted special, and she answered with an attitude. The 10 piece family deal, as 10 pieces with two sides. It does not say the sides are only the classic sides. Even then, I am ok with that. She doesn't need to raise her voice.... maybe it's my sweater, which he doesn't like, and that I look like a Mexican bum on the street....

2nd edit... in car... Finally got my order, and I asked if I could get some barbecue sauce, and apparently, it's more additional cost. I paid $2 additional for getting mac n cheese and okra instead of fries or smash 5 now the manager wants an additional 25cent for each additional sauce. I am sorry, but the special post with the picture shows original chicken or tenders with two sides and 4 sauces. Nowhere on the post did it say additional for the side I choose or additional 25 cent for each sauce because I choose original instead of tenders for 19.99. This was one of the few times I had picked a family meal, and before, I never cared for the sauce and thought. I usually get church chicken 3-4 times a month. Besides these false adds and rude manager. This will be the last time I go to a church chicken restaurant.

3rd edit... home... well, sure, not happy. This is supposed to be a family deal, but okra is basically no bigger than small fries, and mac n cheese is not much bigger than a medium coffee cup from gas stations.

Today was not a good day for this Churches Chicken. Usually, they are really good about answering fast at the drive thru. But today, I received no answer, even after I was asked what I wanted to order 🙄

The little guy in the drive thru has a serious attitude problem. They are slow and organized. They told me to wait 11 minutes and that turned into 45.

My third time coming here in the past 4 months and once again, they are out of chicken! And they made me wait 10 minutes to tell me that.

This Church's is run by 3 middle age ladies and they run it very good! Honestly the chicken is pretty good, but this location is very clean and the chicken is fresh. This makes a big of a difference. Honestly shout out to the employees going the extra mile at this location.

My visit was on 12.21.24 at the San pedro location for lunch. The staff was friendly and fast with order! Tried the spicy chicken sandwich with okra and a coke. First time ordering this meal. It came on a brioche bun. Large piece of chicken, pickles, spicy sauce. It was really delicious! Keep up the good work ladies! Yes, ladies... it was an older staff! 👍👍👍

The food is excellent 👌, the staff is very good, the place is not completely clean, the toilet is outside, you have to ask for the key and if that were not enough, it is really dirty

Never has any chicken , they never let you get half spicy on the meal they say 20 mins and take 35 mins I ordered at 7:10 pm and didn’t recieve my food till 7:45 pm , like if it’s busy drop some chicken , how are they telling everyone 20 min wait on chicken when it’s dinner time on a a Friday night and constant traffic in and out tables packed drive thru line full .

Atleasr the chicken was hot after waiting that long .
