Church's Texas Chicken

Went by to order a family deal. First of all they were out of coleslaw. The chicken was good and crispy. Macaroni was full of cheese and dry. The okra was hard, not fresh. The biscuit were very dry and all crumbled in the bag. The mash was good and hot. Only thing fresh was the chicken and mash. Very disappointed.

Store 1258: I ordered a delivery order and a meal was missing. I contacted the store and the GM (Irma) took it upon herself to deliver the missing order after she got off and was on her personal and family time.

That is the level of customer service absent from today's society.

Thank you Irma for the above and beyond service and commitment. The corporation should take advantage of your commitment and bring you on as a Managerial Trainer nation wide.

Ordered food for delivery and again something was missing. Called the store, no answer! Called the customer service, it kept ringing and went silent yet no one answered! Where is my compensation for missing food items?! The fries seemed to be lacking as well!

Today 7/18/2025 we stopped by this church's chicken for dinner. Everything was super fresh except the okra we ordered. I brought it to thier attention and without hesitation the young gentleman made me a fresh batch on the spot. This crew was fast, efficient, and they work very well around each other. I was very impressed. It was a very busy Friday night. Highly recommend.

Church's has always been a staple in my family. We have Church's at funerals, church functions, and everyday family meals, just to name a few of my experiences with this establishment. So it is very nostalgic for me every time I taste Church's. However this was the absolute WORST Church's Chicken I have EVER had! The chicken tasted like nothing. Just dry and old. It was nostalgic alright. It reminded me of when I had covid and couldn't taste anything. The fries were full of grease, the biscuits were hard, and the Mac and cheese was watery. The coleslaw and the jalapeños were perfect though . I tried to call and tell them how unsatisfied my family and I were but the phone just rang and rang then hung up 3xs. So yeah I am not happy about spending $55.00 just for my family to end up eating Ramen because they couldn't stomach the fried chicken jerky!!!

Ritterman is becoming a terribly unsafe place to be. All the ghetto motels there are full of prostitution, drugs and crime of all sorts. I've been in the area for 30+ years and it was and has never been this bad.

Wish I could have given a zero…Earlier today I ordered an 8 piece and 4 piece boneless wings with fries and a drink not only was my 8 piece and fries missing whomever made it decided to put a spicy breast instead my order instead I’ve tried to call but of course they won’t answer there phone it really sucks when they give you what they want you to have instead of what you paid for.

The food is good most of the time but employees (not all but most) including management could use a refresher course in customer service. I understand the food industry is a demanding and draining industry but if you can't handle it and at least put on a fake smile and not be rude, you shouldn't work in that industry.
