I was waiting on my gma at the eye doctor,I came to get coffee cause she's taking a billion years and OMG so good.I got the house coffee with the spiced caramel white mocha flavoring, + I added a little cream. It's really hitting the spot,Helping me with this allergy congestion.PLUS, this cream cheese croissant is so buttery and simple. I love it.Definitely coming back here! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.8 outta 10!!!*only cause it's my first time* lol*it didn't let me add photos!but it was so yum!!*

Great place to get breakfast and coffee! The coffee was good and the food was delicious. The staff was nice and helpful. Very nice relaxing atmosphere with everyone seeming to enjoy their morning. This has been added to my list of nice places to return to and try more pastries. Check them out if you get a chance.

Start your day off on a positive note with delicious eats and wonderful customer service! I decided to give this place a try and I am so happy I did! These danishes were scrumptious!! The croissant was flaky and buttery, ?.

My food was cold as if it just came out of the refrigerator. And the pastry I wanted had a dead fly on it so the cashier gave me the pastry next to it but I makes me wonder if that one had flies on it too. But my hot chocolate was good. Disappointing because it is my birthday and I usually have good experiences at the other common wealth locations. I won’t return to the common wealth on Evergreen st

I’m not a coffee drinker so I wasn’t sure how much I’d like this place. I was meeting coworkers before we had to be at a work event. The staff here is stellar. They were unbelievably patient and helpful. I was looking for a tea, and they hooked it up as I had no clue what to order. The two ladies at the front provided detailed explanations when we had questions and gave us some great insight to how the pastries are made. A 3rd generation French chef is in the back and makes all the pastries and croissants for all of the locations in San Antonio. They even brought him out for us to meet him! Vincént was an awesome guy and is clearly a beast in the kitchen, as we found out later.I ordered the Breakfast Croissant with ham and tomato. It did not disappoint. A large portion of fluffy, buttery eggs folded with ham and tomato, all barely contained in a delicate, flaky, fresh croissant. It was delectable and I ate every last morsel. My tea was on point and essentially custom made for me. My coworker ordered a custom peppermint hot chocolate that was amazing, and I’m not a big fan of peppermint. You can tell that the food and drinks are made with love and dedication. I cannot stress how pleasant and accommodating the employees are. Maybe I’ll start drinking coffee just so I have an excuse to start going here.

UPDATE:I got called back in to have my coffee redone and I am appreciative of the staff and manager/owner going out of their way to make me happy.Remella and Renee ( I hope I spelt y’all’s name correctly) took care of me and thank you ladies for the recommendations and remaking my coffee the right way. I’ll be changing my review to a 5 star simply because I appreciate the opportunity to get my coffee done the correct way and the complimentary pastry. (Very good pastry btw, fresh and so delicate on the tongue; almost like fairies moonwalking on my tongue).Once again Thank you so much and will be returning to try all the other coffees Renee recommended.Had a vanilla iced latte and would not recommend. Save your $5 because it was not giving. Very much milky, watery and little to No coffee.

CommonWealth Coffee is a great place that is surprisingly filling. My wife and I went around 8 or 9 am. The outside area (inside was packed) was completely empty so we had the whole yard to ourselves. There were a few hens outside which entertained my wife immensely. The food was tasty and we took a few pastries to-go. To my surprise, the strawberry cheese pastry was my favorite. I thought that with the pastry sitting out the strawberry would bleed into the pastry causing it to be soggy but it held up great. The only complaint I would have is the amount of flies and mosquitoes that were outside. They were quite aggressive, but did not ruin the experience.I would rate CommonWealth Coffee a 4.5 out of 5 stars. I highly recommend trying a pastry or splitting one with a friend if you are trying to watch your intake.

My friend and I tried the iced vanilla coffee with almond milk, and the iced mocha latte. We were HEAVILY disappointed with our experience at this location. The iced coffee offended me and made me uneasy when I discovered what seemed to look like filamentous bacteria suspended in my drink. The latte was unremarkable and fine.

This Commonwealth is cute, quaint, and not too busy around lunch time during the week. Their sandwiches are excellent. Their coffee is amazing. There's plenty of varied seating options. Everyone who works here is friendly and helpful. This is a great little breakfast and lunch spot, especially if you want coffee.

This is another one of those been passing it several times and finally stopped to go in... What a nice surprise. Felt very comfortable, very homey, very eclectic... We didn't want to leave... We only had coffee. We did three types of iced coffees, obviously because of this weather lol... I had a delish sugar-free vanilla which was really good. Adam was very helpful and made really great drinks for us. He recommended the crème brulée. WOW. You needed to try that thing!... We noticed they had lunch items, and so we thought we'd need to come back for lunch one day... some of these sounded wonderful- dill, smoked, layered- uh YES! I'll keep you posted and send some pictures when we get to that point but what a great little treasure in the middle of a hot afternoon. Its an oasis. We like an oasis.

I've been wanting to go to this place for a while during college but now I finally had the opportunity. This place exceeded my expectations. It was worth the walk and time. The atmosphere was very chill and friendly. I ordered the French Omelet and it didn't disappoint. You can add any fillings to it and customize your preferences as you please. The toasts that were served with it was so buttery and flavorful as well as the small cup of salsa that brings the heat to the whole plate. Will be coming here again with a big appetite for sure!

Nice addition to midtown. Great service, professional and seem like genuinely nice people working here. Nice small menu where everything that I’ve tried so far is delicious (breakfast, sandwich, salad). The ingredients taste fresh. The inside is clean and has a welcoming decor. I thought because of the location (close to the college) that it would mostly be a place for young adults but I think that any age would feel comfortable dining here. And like all great coffee places, it is a good spot to read or get some work done while you are eating too.
