Cowabunga is definitely a "Dive Bar", but without a doubt one of the greatest Dive Bars you'll ever visit. I was just a tourist and they made me feel like a local - both Ryan and Claudia will bend over backwards to make you feel welcome! This place is a diamond in the rough for certain!!!
This is a bar only. Food is not served here. It is a LGBT friendly hang out bar to enjoy some juke box music and have some drinks. I consider it like a starter bar. It is a good place to start your night out with. But who knows you might end up staying all night there.
I live in Dallas, I came to this bar for one reason because I saw, “Travis Jones’” review and I wanted to check out the bar staff. Because we always get one side of the story but never the other. Turns out this dude was trying to hit another bar goer with a beer bottle. Lol. Anyways great experience this review from Travis is complete sheeeeet!. Ryan the bartender on Thursday when I came did awesome. AMAZING service, my good sir!
