What a wonderful dining experience at the Cracker Barrel Old Contry Store off of IH35 & 410. Entered thru the store & as soon as I crossed into restaurant area, a receptionist assigned me a seat near entryway. Dining areas were packed with customers. Place was busy, waitresses hustling and bustling to serve their customers. Service was outstanding. Nice decor. From ad seen on Facebook, ordered their Campfire Beef from menu. It tasted as good as it looked. The beef, whole potatoes, corn, carrots, tomatoes & other ingredients were unbelievably tender. So soft, no teeth would be needed to eat. Portions were ample that there was enough food over to carry out almost half, along with a pack of cinnamon buns to take home. Checking out at a register in the adjoining country store, cashier signed me up with members' Cracker Barrel Rewards program offering discounts & specials. The $7.95 buns were free. So glad that I chose to go to Cracker Barrel to eat. From this day forth know I will return many times.

We order the catfish, however each diner is usually out of hush puppies (don't say upfront). They don't want to make crispy fries & orders come out halfway made. Catfish too raw.

I'm new to these places, but I must say I loved it. Although the food could be improved, the service, the atmosphere and the store at the beginning while you wait for your seat is great.

Everything excellent. I ordered some pancakes with egg and smoked sausage, everything was delicious. They brought us some super delicious biscuits. The service and atmosphere, exceptional. Without a doubt, when you return to San Antonio, Tx, it will be a must-visit place.

I have never had a bad meal at a CB except this one. Ordered a salad a loaded potato for curbside. Did not have even a fork or napkin for a SALAD!!! The potato was NOT loaded as said on the menu and 2 bites in to the salad I found a ling black hair. I'm a blonde... never returning.

I got $5 chicken and mashed potatoes to go. Chicken had horrible texture and I threw it away. My friend got it also and told me he threw his away also.

I have been waiting for Lent to start so we could all have fish on Friday. We all got what we liked and cooked the way we like it. And of course fried apples as a side dish.

This place was good because my coworkers bought some for me and it is breakfast food. It is nice to have a place like this that serves this kind of food. It is a fun decor for a restaurant. The decor gets my hopes up but it's not how I like country food. I usually like biscuits but these ones are below average as well as the country fried steak. It's ok but I think the price is more than McDonald's even though McDonald's has better biscuits.
