Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

This review is not fully justified as I only went to cracker barrel because my wife and I just had a baby boy on the 25th so we didnt have many dinner options outside of the hospital cafeteria which was surprisingly delicious.

I ordered 2 of the Thanksgiving dinner plates and was very greatful for the people ar cracker barrel working on Thanksgiving day. Im sad to say the turkey was a bit dry and lackluster on the flavor or seasoning side. The sides were mid at best and the hospital Thanksgiving food was better which is saying alot.

Besides that and the price was a bit steep I was still presented with warm food on a Holiday and enjoy it with my wife in our hospital room. I would not recommend the Thanksgiving dinner unless it's a last resort. I have had other food from Cracker Barrel and the chicken fried chicken fried and steak always hits!

Staff could have been friendlier. Shocking to say.... I used to work there and friendly till the end was kind of the unspoken role of an employee at cracker barrel. Don't get me wrong they weren't rude. But the cashier was chasing out an employee while I was waiting to pay and the cash out extended to a conversation to checking the apron to more conversation then begrudgingly the customer waiting ..me. For a 4 star apron I felt the semi eye roll while having to put in her earpiece to tell kit he staff I needed extra sauce on the side for something that wasn't listed online while ordering was not necessary. Plus no where to wait , I had to stroll around the over crowded store till it was ready. I tried to wait up front by the boat stand but the new server in section 1 didn't like that, told to go would be handled at the registers. Then by the registers I was not to lean on the counter It may knock over the fake jewelry and miss 4 stars was not having that. So not the end of the world especially being just before close but those are the memories that last .

We had a party of 13. They put us on the wait list but did not tell us they were going to split us up until we waited an hour. The manager was horrible. It seemed like he was just trying to avoid us and acted like he didn't really care.

The waitress never brought us biscuits.. We had to ask for them. Everybody else was getting them.
My friend asked for coffee and I asked for orange juice and she brought me both coffee and orange juice.
She wasn't paying attention.

Haven't been in couple of years..
Surely surprised new items on the menu...we had sausage egg hash brown casserole
Delightfully on a beautiful blue 🔵 and white print dinner plate..the cassoulet meal on a deft Blue dish and lots of coffee

I only return to cracker barrel because they got rid of that woke CEO and return the logo to its original state. God bless America
