NOT AUTHENTIC CUBAN FOOD. Not even really Cuban food. Ropa vieja is NOT made with capers. Cuban sandwiches are made with Cuban bread not Torta bread. The yuca fries were not boiled long enough before they were fried. Their mojo sauce served with the yuca was horrible, raw garlic and I don’t know what other thing they added but it was horrible.. I can’t imagine how one could mess up frozen croquettes, but they did. I imagine they had bad freezer burn bc they had such an awful taste or they had bad grease. The Arroz Congri (Morros) were some how dry like raspa but mushy like they added water after the fact, the beans had no flavor and tasted like they had started to burn or where going bad. The young boy serving us was new but super awesome. The loud mouth hispanic lady in the back needs to be told we can hear everything she is saying and she may want to be more professional when she talks. I have never heard the word “WHAT” yelled that many times from the back of a kitchen in my life. We WILL NOT be going back. I paid 17 bucks for a sandwich that took 25 mins to make and didn’t even have much on it. I’m still not sure what took them so long with the sandwich. It’s a sandwich, in Miami they pump them out in 3-5 mins, what where you doing back there ma’am?!Vegetarian options: Very small selection

Wanted to try the food but unable to place order by phone and what business has a phone where a voicemail is not set up??? Then when you click to order online the price goes up from 20.00 a plate to26.00 a plate for PICKUP???? This is not a way to start a business...

I really hate to leave a 3 star but based off of yesterday that’s what lead me to leave this review. The first time we came here was on a Sunday in January and the owners were there and were very welcoming. The food was so good and tasty and fresh! Which led us to come back again. We came back yesterday for the second time and it was almost as if they had changed the chef. I got a plate with thin beef and it came with a salad, rice and beans. The meat had hardly any flavor only pepper I could taste, it was also tough and the rice was bland. For $20 I felt this was not near its potential! My husband got shredded pork meat plate with salad and rice and beans. His pork was so bland and it needed salt and the rice was bland as well. The black beans were good! Again for $20 this was not worth it. We got a side order of the potatoes because the first time we came we ordered them and they were bomb! But this time they were soggy and drenched in oil. The yucca fries were so hard. Seems like they weren’t boiled before frying. The guava and cream cheese empanadas were very good! We practically ate everything in our plates because we were starving after coming from church and we are not the type of people to tell the server when food is not cook right or seasoned well unless something is raw. Also there was only One server and service was very slow as she had no help. We felt bad to tell her anything. for spending $65+ here and not being satisfied with most of our food I don’t think we will ever be back. Which is sad because we truly liked this place the first time!

What an amazing experience. From the restoration of the space to the beautiful wood furniture to the live DJ, we felt transported to a tasty street on the Cuban island. We were lucky to have the owner share his and his wife's reason-for-being and the story of his nanny - the Cuban influencer of his youth. We had a wonderful spread of apps (Yucca Fries, Empanaditas and Tostones (MUST get extra green salsa/pico to go with this). We learned about the top dishes to try and he was NOT WRONG! WOW. Tiriditas - this grade A pork belly takes you to places your senses have forgotten existed. Ropa vieja - absolutely divine recipe of the country's most famous entree...a balanced savory-slightly smoky-touch of sweet tender yet toothy brisket. The Cuban sandwich - curated authentic Cuban pan with tender roast pork, ham, and well, all the balanced flavors to make each bit perfect. Oh, don't forget to close out with a Cuban quesito and cup of Cubano - truly, the tender crust of the guava-cream cheese pastry and the balanced yet punchy espresso pulled with sugar was/is the right ending (or beginning) of your visit. Every - absolutely everything - is made to order and with their personal recipes. I believe every recipe has a story...theirs tastes as good as it sounds.

Just moved to town and was looking for a small dance spot to ease back into society. Found it! The owners immediately made me feel like I belonged there, took the time to share the history of their business, and served up an excellent Cuban cuisine. The DJ played perfect music for the nifty atmosphere, and although an off night for dancing, it was spot on for me! Highly recommend.
