I f you’re still getting wings from Wingstop or Buffalo Wild Wings, you’re truly shortchanging your taste buds. I’ll go wing-for-wing with any spot in the city and confidently say these are the best. The customer service is top-tier, and the whole experience feels like Grandma’s Sunday cooking after church;,comforting, flavorful, and made with love.

I had the catfish plate. All plates come with two sides. I had fries and sweet potatoes. My wife had the fried chicken plate with mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. We dined in. The waitress was short and to the point with us. The food was absolutely delicious. 11/10 you should come here.

When I tell you delicious! I mean DELICIOUS!

The hospitality was top tier, the food was cooked with LOVE, and the atmosphere was so beautifully homegrown and nostalgic!

And let me add, my 5 year old son is very picky about Mac and cheese but he LOVEDDDDD it here.

Grateful San Antonio has such a gem as this!

We stumbled across this place when we were actually looking for another restaurant. Glad we stopped. The shrimp and catfish are delicious. I had the Mac and cheese. My brother had sweet potatoes. All were amazing. Staff was attentive and friendly. We are in town visiting but home to go by again before we leave.

I was turned around because I had my service animal. They said he was “too big”. They also stated that they couldn’t take my party of 3 because they were only allowed 8 people inside, meanwhile there were at least 15 dining

I went here for the first time based off of a recommendation and ordered two dishes (fried chicken with french fries/mac and cheese and shrimp with okra and mac and cheese. It’s been 35 minutes and our food still has not arrived. I’m deeply disappointed and won’t be returning. We have checked in twice and we were told “it’s coming out.” People that ordered after us were given their food, prior to us. While the owner of the establishment came out and said that the fried chicken takes 15 minutes, that still doesn’t explain why we have been here for now 37 minutes and the food hasn’t arrived. We were accommodated with free dessert but I came here for food…I want to add that this was in the middle of the day and the restaurant was not crowded..

Less than 2 miles from the Alamodome and one of San Antonio’s best kept little secrets, this restaurant hit the mark! If you’re looking for something to complain about, this place is NOT it! Great food, music, service and atmosphere! Went for convenience and will return for genuinely good food and service!

Food and service was amazing. The parking lot is small and tight. The restaurant itself is small. But my food came out fast at the lunch rush.
