Great Value for Lunch, But Stick to the Pad Thai (For Now!)
Dahlia Thai Cuisine is a fantastic option for an affordable lunch in San Antonio, offering huge portions that definitely give you your money's worth. It's become one of my regular spots when I'm looking for a satisfying and budget-friendly meal.
My absolute go-to is the Pad Thai with chicken at a level 3 spiciness. It's consistently delicious, with that perfect balance of sweet, savory, and tangy, and the spice level always hits just right for me. You really can't go wrong with it.
I recently decided to branch out and tried the Pad See Ew, and while the portion was definitely enough for two, I found it to be a little on the sweet side compared to other Thai restaurants I've visited. It was okay, but it didn't quite capture the same depth of flavor I've come to expect from a good Pad See Ew.
So, while Dahlia Thai Cuisine is a reliable and affordable spot for lunch, and their portions are generous, as of now, my only recommendation is the Pad Thai. It's a true winner that keeps me coming back!

Got the panang curry chicken. It was delicious with the perfect level of spice. Highly recommend.

Just ordered delivery. I got the crispy tofu and the thai basil chicken rice. It tasted anemic. The sauce for the tofu was bland, though the tofu was good. the thai chicken basil had no flavor except heat. None of the layers of flavor that I know Thai food
has. will not be ordering again. Their prices are too high for what you get.
I had a Sesame chicken dish and fried rice. My beverage was a iced Thai coffee. I have to say the flavors were spot on.
One of the better Thai places I have been to.

Recent visit to this place. Foods are authentic. I’m from Thailand and foodie. So I know well. I tried their lettuce wraps and Tom Yum soup. I went there around lunch time so a little bit busy. But service was pretty good 👍🏻 and faster than I expected during lunch time. Definitely I will be back for others to try.

I’m extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Dhalia. I've been coming here for years and usually enjoyed my meals, but this last visit was unacceptable.
While eating, I discovered multiple bugs in my food. I immediately notified the staff, who did remake me and my partners plate. Shockingly, the new plates also contained bugs. This completely ruined our appetite and made the meal inedible.
Despite the clear issue and the fact that we couldn’t eat our food, I was still asked to pay at the front counter before leaving, and to add salt in the wound, they asked if there were bugs flying around my table that might have flown onto my plate. I know that was not the case, because once we saw one in our rice, we looked throughout all of the rice, and found multiple gnats cooked into it. I find it unacceptable to be charged for a meal that was not only unappetizing but also unsafe to eat, along with the restaurant staff assuming I put bugs in my own food. Hilarious.
I hope this review serves as a warning to others and encourages the restaurant to address their food safety and quality control. Do better.
Food was okay but service was horrible. I think there is a new people and new management. I don’t see regular servers. My go to spot went downhill.

I came here for lunch with my friends today and was really disappointed with the service and food. The restaurant wasn't even busy, yet the service was extremely slow. We waited over 20 mins just to place our order because they completly forget about us. When I politely asked if someone could take our order, the waitress responded with attitude and walked away. Didn't offer us soup or salad either that come with the lunch plate. This place used to be great, used to have good service and good food. But it's seems like there's new management and new stuff and it's just not the same. I told them the food a little salty and they said that is how it comes and didn't offer to fix it. Staff are rude and very unprofessional. So disappointed.

If you are looking for pad Thai this is not the place. The sauce was red which I have found everywhere too sweet meaning too much tamarind and tasted like it was mixed with peanut butter, it was also served with a lemon opposed to lime. The hot and sour soup also tasted like it was bbq chicken flavored.

I was looking for places with great Thai tea. Most places are shops that only sell teas or bubble teas most of the Thai teas I’ve tasted are good but they don’t taste like the tea I’m looking for. While I was driving I remembered this place Dalia Thai cuisine went in and ordered one, I’ve got to say it’s exactly what I was looking for delicious!

Doesn’t treat customers with any respect, treats us like we didn’t know anything about Thai food. Service was not good at all! Didn’t ask for any refills or anything would not come here again! Not vegan friendly!
This was my first and last visit to this restaurant. As a native Thai, I can only give it 2 out of 5 stars. The Pad See Ew was acceptable, but the Pad Thai didn't resemble authentic Pad Thai at all. It consisted of just noodles, a piece of chicken, and some bean sprouts. The crispy chicken was terrible; it tasted overly sweet, almost like someone poured an entire bag of sugar over it.
Additionally, the chicken and rice were dehydrated. Only two staff members were working, and they seemed overwhelmed, running around frantically. I even had to check the bill and ask for a takeout box near the kitchen or cashier area. If you decide to go out for lunch, allow enough time, as it will take forever to be greeted and order your food.
