This place embodies the spirit of San Antonio in one little humble hamburger shack. One of the friendliest and tastiest places, nestled in a great spot.
We walked in for the first time and the owner already knew my name from some messaging back and forth. There were some cops and city workers there who were clearly regulars. Adds to the biggest small town vibes we have.
I will be back again and again.

This burger joint is exactly what I've been looking for from the Fresh burger patties and veggies to the outstanding customer service and the atmosphere just makes me feel very welcomed the owner is cooking your patties right in front of you fresh to order and he strikes up conversation getting to know you which is something you don't get nowadays very often I would definitely be coming back with my family and friends.
The burger is really good that I forgot to take pictures but next time I'll post one

Take me back! The words for anyone who likes to see places of nostalgia and that not being the only part to admire.I heard about this place and wanted to give it a shot. I stopped by and it was closed but kept it on my radar. I happened to be in the area and took a gamble. Place is unassuming but let me tell you the burger although simple was delicious. The owner Danny is doesn't hold back with the offering of a real 1/2 pound burger with all the fixings. Very flavorful and just a basic burger in his words. In my opinion this isn't basic and the flavors are surely memorable. Highly rated burger!Give it a shot and support your small local businesses.

Thee best restaurant experience I’ve had in a very long time. Not many places can you go and the owner is not only cooking your burger, but striking up conversation! Small town feel in the middle of San Antonio. The burger was also incredibly delicious! I will return when I’m craving a burger and you should too! Cash only!!

Danny Boy's doesn't mess around. His burgers are made with fresh, it aint frozen. Perfectly toasted buns that hold everything in. Each bite is a juicy explosion of flavor, with just the right amount of toppings. It's the kind of burger that makes you happy from the first bite to the last.

I used to eat here as a 6 year old, 64 years ago. I remember this place as Therns, not sure of the spelling. The .25 cent burgers were delicious then. I see they have the same red door, same red checker-board table cloths and trim, good memories, I plan on going back next time I'm in San Antonio. Can't wait!
First time visit & it won't be our last. AMAZING burgers. The owner was so humble and welcoming. If you've never been here your missing out on a good fresh juicy burger.
