My husband and I love coming here. A few years ago we had googled “bbq near me” on google, found the video from Diners, Drive-ins and Dives and IMMEDIATELY left the house upon finishing the video clip. We were not disappointed. The service is always great and the food is absolutely delicious! This is the first place we think of to bring our family and friends that come in from out of town. The burned sandwich *chefs kiss*

If you get here late for lunch or late for dinner the wait for food may be a little long. Otherwise the food is so fresh and very tasty. The favorite for me and the missus is always the burnt end melt or the loaded potatoes and the corn side dish is to die for. Overall one of the best hidden gems of san antonioParking: The parking is very limited around the front and around the side. I think there is parking along the street but i could be wrong. Best to get here early for lunch and dinner and take the very minimum of cars If you can.

Portions are small. Photos do not match what you get. Rueben was more of a panini. Mac had hardly any cheese in it. They didn't open on time and took 30 minutes to get our food, and we were the first ones. Service leaves much to be desired. Turkey caprese was good though.

This place has potential, but it was a let down. The hyped up food was over hyped. Most of the food was just a ton of food mixed together. The atmosphere was off.Burnt End Melt was lacking flavor. The bread is very hard, the Mac and cheese overtook the burnt ends. The chicken was SO bland. It was super hard to eat, too much breaking and had no flavor at all.I hope they can update their menu, make the place more lively so they don't go out of business.

Omg I can't tell ya how good this place is ? Jaden was polite and very helpful with the menu. The burnt end sandwich was the bomb ? and the Mac was off the hook .. definitely recommend 10 outta 10!!

No frills, great vibes, FANTASTIC sandwiches. There’s a 100% chance of deliciousness here, mac and cheese was a slight miss - a little grainy-ness texturally, but otherwise 10/10.

We were in San Antonio for the Alamo Bowl, so we decided to try Dignowity Meats after seeing them on DDD and other places. It was really good, but I don't know if I think it's worthy of the hype, and that's mostly due to the service. They open at 11:00, we arrived at 11:30 and were told there would be no brisket for 30 minutes to an hour. The brisket was FINALLY ready at 1:00 (really? 2 hours after you open? pretty ridiculous, IMO). But again, the biggest negative was how aloof the service was. Really felt like we (& everyone else) were treated with "oh well" attitude. Maybe we just caught them on a bad day. That said, I thought the pastrami was excellent. The burnt ends melt was pretty good, but not life changing. The turkey sandwich was really good, too. Again, maybe if the service was better, this review would be different. Bottom line is it was pretty dang good, but not worth the roughly 2 hours for lunch. The bathroom was kinda gross too and had no toilet paper for the ladies.

I got the Ruben, which looked amazing in the photos. It wound up having way less meat, cheese, and sauerkraut than the photo showed. It tasted good, but would have been better with the expected amount of meat. I don't generally eat much but I'm still hungry after paying $12 for this sandwich. I also got the mac and cheese which sounded AMAZING but wound up being lukewarm and grainy. It has the worst texture and the flavor was sub-par. The woman who took our order was not friendly and a little curt with our group and food took far longer than expected to come out and we were here at 2 pm on a Monday. It was way too slow to take that long.

The day I ate dinner here the weather was bad but this place is good. On a nice day this would be a great place to eat, hang out for awhile and drink some good beers. It’s counter ordering which I like and they bring your food to you when it’s ready. I got the burnt end melt which I think is what Guy got when he visited for DDD. I also got the house pickles and a beer. I wish I would’ve got one more small item to eat because I was hungry and the food was delicious.I also liked the fact that it was not in the middle of downtown so it wasn’t super busy. That could have also been due to the weather.

I grew up in Kansas City, worked at a barbecue restaurant all through high school, married into a Texas family filled with competitive barbecuers, and go out of my way to find good 'cue.Dignowity Meats is one of the best I have ever had. I live 3 hours away, but if I'm San Antonio and want barbecue, it's Dignowity.I've never had a bad meal, but either of their burnt end sandwiches are absolutely amazing. If you don't want to clog your arteries, their turkey caprese sandwich is also a great choice.
