I love this place it's my favorite place to get Chinese food in san antonio and I would highly reccomend for anyone that likes dumplings or trying new things

First of all is this “temporarily closed” for the holidays??? They should inform customers. I’ve been calling a no answering machine to let us know.Food is good. Close to authentic as you can get here in San Antonio. Atmosphere needs work. Maybe a TV? A nice fish tank? Some lively color. It’s just a drag and could use a nicer atmosphere.

Great food and great service. Affordable also. I love how I can hear myself think in this restaurant but there are plenty of people eating there.

I love this place, it has been a while since I’ve had Dim Sum, I recently went to order but it was closed! Note on the door stated closed for remodel. Does anyone know when they will reopen??

I have been here two times. They have increased prices when I came the 2nd time(to $5-$6ish a dish depending on size S,M,L). Quick note, this place does not offer dim sum in the traditional dim sum carts. You order through a form! Dim sum restaurants are a treasure here as there is Service 3/5: Service here can be a bit on the slow side because they seem to be understaffed on the very busy weekends. However, the staff here are very sweet and I can tell they try their best to attend to everyone. The place seems decently clean, but wish there was more of an ambiance/ decor. Food 4/5: Comparing this dim sum place to Golden Wok, it is smaller than Golden Wok and lacks decor. However, I will say that the flavors here to me, were more flavorful and took on more of the traditional dim sum flavors than Golden Wok. Their shu mai and rice rolls were good! If you're craving dim sum and in a smaller party, I would recommend this place. If you have a big party (7+) and want the traditional feel of seeing the carts go around, I would not recommend coming here on the weekend as service can be slow

One of the best Chinese restaurants I've been to hands down. We got the green tea and it was loose leaf so it tasted very flavorful. We got the fried shrimp wontons which were the star - wrapper was crisp and perfectly light and fried with juicy shrimp inside. The pork dumpling dim sum was good as well. Lastly we got the orange chicken which was crispy with great sauce and a generous portion - I liked that the pieces were bigger than usual and the batter less chunky compared to other restaurants I've been to. Our servers were so kind and even had the orange chicken remade because she was worried it was dry the first time. Cute place and seems to be family run - will be back the next time we're in San Antonio!

An overall average American style Chinese restaurant. We went to try the dim sum but weren't very impressed. Filling to dough ratio was lacking and the fillings themselves were not great (especially the chicken, rubbery and bland). The "beef balls" are not actually dim sum, they're just steamed meatballs and the sight was not appealing. The kung pao was fine but nothing special. Prices were decent, $30 for two people and plenty of leftovers. Probably won't go back. Also, if you have any shrimp allergies, beware, most of their offerings have it.

The establishment was immaculate and clean. Parking is extremely limited. The service initially was appropriate. The food menu is limited on explanation of what the food is. If you have never had this food before you will have no idea of what you are ordering. There is no drink menu. When you ask what they have the staff just responded with what do you want. Once the food was ordered it came out quickly. The food however, was extremely bland. There was hardly any flavor at all. We ordered tea as a beverage. The tea was not brought out until we ask where it was. Overall not horrible but we do not plan going to this establishment again.

We’ve had dim sum on the weekend and it has been good. Tonight, we ordered Take-out. Combination Cried Rice, Shrimp Rolls, Tripe, Squid. Came home and to our surprise the food Combination Fried Rice and the Shrimp Rolls smelled and tastes off. We called at 7:40Pm but no one would answer and voicemail full. The food garages spoilt, old, off. It was disgusting ? we had to throw it away. Disappointed

The dim sum was all either very bland or way too salty and generally in oddly large pieces. Service and prices were good though, and teapot was refilled promptly.

This restaurant is an exercise in self-control. One must learn to limit oneself. No matter how dedicated the gourmand, one cannot taste one of everything. I discovered this place at random after a harrowing afternoon of medical appointments. I wanted comfort food. What could be better than a buttload of starch with proteins on top? It was a Friday well before dinner rush so I expected mediocre stuff. I got super yummy stuff instead.I started with familiar stuff. I love steamed bao with bean paste. It's just yummy sweet treat that calms my anxiety. Mind you, I ordered the lotus seed bao but folks usually run out of those early in the day. Red bean is a happy substitute. So I don't go to for dim sum to not have chicken feet. That's always first on the list and these were tasty. The best part of colonizing other people's culture is finding new favorites I don't have to share with my friends. Other than those two items, I know nothing about dim sum. Trying new stuff is the fun. I got some sticky rice with savory spiced chicken wrapped in a leaf like a tamale. One of these could make a meal. It was an A+.The shrimp-stuffed bell pepper slices were a little too big for a mouthful but the light sauce made up in flavor what they lack in chopstick juggling. There was one final item that I just don't remember ordering. It was a flat mochi-like rectangle of rice starch fried in (I think) breadcrumbs. It was ok by itself but truly pleasing with a healthy dose of hot chili oil. Dim Sum Oriental Cuisine is well out of my usual neighborhood. I'll make the trip again anyway just to try out everything they do.
