Such a great restaurant. Great food, service, environment. I’ve had their NY Strip and it is absolutely fantastic. One of the best steaks I’ve ever had. HIGHLY recommend.

The service was great. We sat outside. It was a chill atmosphere. I ordered fish tacos. They were on the soggy side. My bf had steak. It was great. Kids chicken strips came with a very nice side of fruit. They didn't offer any customizations for special days. And had to pay 15 for parking. But overall I enjoyed myself and might return

I was recommended this place by a coworker, and decided to take my girlfriend there on a date. We don’t get to go out very much so we were pretty excited to try this place. I don’t normally write reviews, but I almost feel I need to. Aesthetically the place was nice. But that’s about the only nice thing I could say. Our night started with being told it would take an hour to be seated which is fine, because it was a Saturday night, so we decided to grab a drink at the bar . We stood there for about 15-20mins before we had to say something to be served. It took another 20mins to actually receive our drinks. The drinks we got were nothing special. I got some cinnamon bourbon drink and my girlfriend got a Fresca. Those are not complicated drinks to make. There were 3 or 4 bartenders working as well. No sense of urgency or customer service. Once we actually got seated the waitresses weren’t really too attentive and the food was sub par. I could see it being halfway decent for people who don’t really know what good food is. So if you’re into a place that looks nice, don’t really care what you eat, and like paying over $100 this is your spot. All other stay away.

For the prices, was Really disappointed in the overall quality of the entrees. Appetizers, parm fries and garlic bread were great. The red snapper was soaked in lemon with a very watery sauce and was mushy, and Asparagus were very undercooked and soaked in lemon as well. This could be a great dish with a thicker sauce and way less lemon. Cuban sandwich was good!

Sirloin Steak was very bland with side of asparagus that were also way undercooked as well. Wedge salads were very good. $190.00 for 5 people was too high for a meal with 3 out of 5 entrees being below average.

Two stars only because two of the main entrees were very poorly prepared.

Free parking with validation was really nice for the Pearl area.

Why does graysons insist on giving me a a little baby glass at the bar for my cider? Food is good but honestly, service needs some training on washing hands (bar) and not touching mouth while getting a draft beer. FFS.

Nice spot, especially on a gorgeous day as there are plenty of windows and tons of outdoor seating. Very busy on the weekends but the staff handles it pretty well.
The cocktails are mostly all spicy but it's a full bar so you can really order anything you want. I had one of the "mocktails" turned into a cocktail for me.
They validate parking, too, which is a huge plus.

If you are an abled body person you will be fine. If you have someone in your dinner party Down on Grayson is not for you.
I held on to the receipt of $150 to wait and see if I was still put off by the experience. I have not changed my opinion. Mediocre food, with handicap challenges is what I came away with. No one on staff helped with the heavy door as my wife and I struggled to get into the restaurant with the use of a walker. And yes, the hostesses both watched us struggle to get into the restaurant. Then they decided that the place for us would be at the very back of the restaurant so our view was the restrooms. The food had small portions for the price. And my salad entree was a kin to a kale slaw with tiny bits of chicken mixed in. For the price and experience I would steer clear of this foul tasting experience.

Wheelchair accessibility: There is no polite way to say, only able body people are seen at this restaurant.

Bartender was grumpy! They were out of the signature dish. Soup was cold but I didn’t say anything because she was grumpy already. Not their best night and I typically like this place.

Something has changed. I have been coming to Down on Grayson for years. And today the manager refused to accommodate an order I’ve been served for over 9 years. The explanation was poor at best “it’s not how we intended on serving it.” Down on Grayson where the customer is wrong. #epicfail #notservice
