Great food and the biscuits are awesome. The staff was very friendly and a great selection of homemade pies. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
They've got a strong case for best chicken in SA, combine that with excellent cocktails (chicken leg bloody Mary and carajillo). Finish it off with great pie too.
Overall great food.
The waitress forgot that kids eat free on Saturdays.
She only took off one of the kids
Meal, but
Didn't say anything since it was her birthday

It's in a new location but the fried chicken, mashed potatoes mac etc is still exactly as it was back in the 80s. It's so good y'all.

Such a cute little corner eatery. And it's less than 10 min from our apt! Cozy and quaint with cute little signs on the walls. Food was amazing and hot

First timer. Went at lunch with a friend. Their special of the day was turkey, stuffing and two sides. I guess it was a high carb day (and well worth it) because I had mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, and the Chorizo and Garlic Fried Rice. Yum.
The Turkey is a special available only on Thursday and Sunday (I looked it up) so if that's what you want, don't show up on a Wednesday. I'll definitely be back because Fridays are Meatloaf day. I can't imagine anything here is bad.
Also, while I didn't have dessert that day, I did take a look in their dessert case. That will be a trip all on its own. No way you can go wrong here.

Tastey food but no parking.
Had a business lunch here with two colleagues. Ordered the fried chicken and it was as good as one could hope. Friendly wait staff too.
But yeah, no parking. So be ready to parallel park on Broadway and walk.
I can’t believe it. I just can’t believe it. First they leave their original location to the slightly uppity Austin highway and now they’re in the uppity yupppity hoidy/toidy pearl complex , oh my God. This is supposed to be an old fashioned diner with old fashioned prices. I see those are long gone. Almost $11 for two freaking pieces of fried chicken. Geez!!!
I might try it again cause it probably is the cheapest thing to eat at the Pearl complex and to see if the quality is anything like the original. Of course it could not be because it’s a different owners and I don’t see that you can just get a single slice of pie anymore. Or at least they don’t show that on the menu ?
Bottle of bubbly and juice for mimosas - $20 is perfect and if you don't finish- ya get a to go cup
