Smaller, chill vibe and their house wine was pretty good! Mostly outside seating with some tables inside

Heard really great things about Little Death and was excited to try it, but my expectations soon dropped the longer I stayed in this establishment. The staff onsite, Maryia was not very welcoming and it seemed as if we were a disturbance to the property. When you are excited about trying a new place and the reality hits you that hard it’s very disappointing. Customer service in this establishment could use a refresher.

When I walked in the place was empty minus Maryia and two I believe distributors. They were doing a tasting/having a meeting at one of the tables. I didn’t feel very welcomed and was soon disappointed as I felt I was disturbing their conversation. I explained I came out of state to try this place and one would think you would interact with your guest. Maryia did not do that. Just said “ that wall is the French selection and the other is everywhere else” then she sat down to continue her meeting. I was super annoyed because I was SO EXCITED and wanted to talk and learn about the wines they have. Fast forward to after they left Maryia was not busy so I kindly said “ hey just a recommendation, I wouldn’t hold those type of meetings while guests are present” well she DID NOT LIKE THAT. She then got offended by questions I asked her and ARGUED with me. Honey, we the guests PAY YOUR BILLS. Seriously I saw other reviews about her and confused on how she’s still working there as she is hurting the establishment. GUYS GO ELSEWHERE, LITTLE DEATH WAS AWFUL.UPDATE: spoke to Chad( the owner) and he was also RUDE. He explained he did not believe me and Maryia is exceptional*. No customer service, little knowledge, and a nasty attitude is not exceptional. Lord half mercy… this place is going nowhere!!! So many other great places to go. BE AWARE!!!

Little Death is a local wine bar that has a fun vibe, solid wine, and cheap oysters on Wednesday. The walls are lined with bottles you can buy and drink on the spot. There are some additional food options besides oysters like cheese, crackers, and nuts. Prices are reasonable at around $7 for a glass of their wine. You'll likely be sitting next to a different group of you sit inside because all they have are long continuous tables.

Really cute and chill wine bar, plenty of seating, parking and as a bit tricky but worth a trip

The barista and owner was so delightfully friendly and proud of his amazing coffee. Unlike any coffee shop I have been to. This is a place for people who love the craft and flavour of a perfect brew.

I parked right in front of the building where there is a line of parking spots. I love how colorful and bright the artwork on the building is. There isn't signage, but the entrance is through the double glass black doors. There is both inside and outside seating. The inside is lined with bottles of wine floor to ceiling. The coffee bar is inside to the right. I got to sample the drip coffee, which was good. I got an iced oat milk latte, which was delicious. I'm a fan of this espresso brand Weathered Hands apparently! The barista was so nice and helpful. They don't do syrups or flavors, but they do have turbinato sugar (brown sugar) that can be added for sweetness. I can see why everyone leaves such nice reviews for this coffee shop. It's great!

Hands down best coffee I've ever had in the absolute coolest atmosphere. The owner is the best and will ensure you're completely satisfied with his coffee creation. Don't pass this place up, or do and save more for people who'll truly appreciate it.

This place is amazing. It beat all of my expectations. I had the most splendid espresso in all of the two years that I have been in San Antonio. I mean Merit is good but Eclipse blew it out of the water. The host Solomon, was exceptionally knowledgeable on coffee and had a very chill and friendly demeanor.

Great small spot worth a visit. The oyster truck is great to visit on Wednesdays for the dollar per oyster special. Inside the main building you can order some wine and "tapas" style appetizers of olives, bread with butter, etc.. Seating is available inside and outside the building. Parking is available around the building. Service is friendly, super nice and helpful. The wine is limited but tasty.

If you are looking for a chi-chi wine bar where you can order your usual glass of plonk Chardonnay, you won't find it here. This is a cult hangout for irreverent wine geeks. Colourful in every sense of the word--you will love it or hate it depending upon your attitude. Wines are interesting and fairly priced...exactly the ticket for those of us interested in exploring new stuff we would never otherwise try. I loved it. Oh yes, and there's nothing wrong with the service (per other reviews)--very knowledgeable and helpful.

Wednesday is Dollar Oyster night. Not just any oysters…. Delicious non gulf oysters that you can pair with amazing wine! Great venue with outdoor seating and unique and vast wine selection!

I am giddy, giggling as I walk out of this shop. Solomon just shattered all of my categories for what coffee can be.Go here. If coffee brings you joy for what coffee is, come here and get blown away. You’re rarely, if ever, going to come across somebody that has pursued their craft further, with more time and passion and love than Solomon, the owner here.He knows what he has, and he hopes, as I do, that you will find the humility and the simple joy to appreciate what he puts in front of you.Come for the coffee, but I hope you leave with at least some understanding of the glimpse of beauty that you’re offered.Thank you.

Solomon is a gem. This guy not only made me the best coffee I’ve ever had- But he also gave some fabulous recommendations for food and drinks throughout San Antonio. If you want to experience an astonishing journey with your tastebuds via coffee, Eclipse coffee is the place to go. I had drip coffee that I would write letters home about. I had a cappuccino in which the mouthfeel felt like fresh silk sheets. And he made me his own concoction that is barista meets bartender, it was fresh and delightful. If you’re looking for coffee in San Antonio. Go. Here. Yesterday.

Visiting San Antonio and looking for a good cup of coffee but got a whole experience. I walked in and the barista knew exactly what I wanted before I even ordered, and had several recommendations of other must try places around town. Will definitely be back!
