My father Jesse went there at least 3-4 days out of the week faithfully for many years, And yes, he also helped them in various ways with repairs of their kitchen equipment and other things as they needed, as he owned a sheet metal shop down the street. The people (owners and staff) treated my father good and even considered him as family at one point! But because my father started becoming incapable of taking care of himself as much. And started experiencing mental health as well as major physical health issues and would have problems keeping up with his hygiene at times, one day he was literally kick out of Eddie’s Taco House by the restaurant’s management or owners, and was further banded from ever entering their establishment ever again, because of the way he smelled! My father was very devastated and very heart broken! I feel that this was very cruel and very wrong!!! Yes, my father eventually passed away many years ago. And so when I seen this ad on facebook and the ability to offer recommendations, I felt the need to share my thoughts to the public about my father’s story and heartbreaking experience he had with Eddie’s Taco House! I just feel that this was the most cruelest thing anyone can do to a faithful customer and a very good hearted elderly man! Because of this I will never recommend, order or even consider going into Eddie’s Taco House on Cevallos Street. May God rest his soul.

With over 30 years of experience in the industry, I can confidently say that I have never encountered such a clear display of disregard toward guests. Upon arrival, our table was left unattended for 20 minutes. It then took an additional 40 minutes just to receive our drinks, while surrounding tables were being served without delay.

When the drinks finally arrived, they were poured halfway. When we asked for a properly made drink, Hector, instead gave it to another customer and refused to make a replacement for our table. To make matters worse, our bill was overcharged.

Hector's conduct was unprofessional and dismissive, and if that reflects his approach to hospitality, he may need to reconsider whether this role is the right fit. Based on the lack of response to previous concerns, I am not optimistic that this message will be acknowledged—but I hope this feedback serves as a wake-up call to revisit the standards of service expected at your establishment.

I ordered the ckn gorditas plate & it was fantastic. It had plenty of shredded chicken, lettuce, tomato and cheese. I will be going back soon.

Food was just alright. The service and the building was fantastic though. I'd probably come back.

man in the maroon shirt looked and acted sour after I complained about the fajita that were served on my lunch plate.they were burned and crunchy, we got a replacement on fajitas but the way he just threw them on the table was bad. no explanation. that's a sorry excuse of service. I dont understand why my co-workes love coming over for cold food. I wish I could add pictures on here

My mom was a long time patron, since this location had opened. We have had many family events there. Not to mention every year on the Saturday closest celebrating Christmas we would gather to eat tamales & exchange gifts. Our mom on her deathbed wanted to plan her funeral reception but the owner never made the time to reach her until it was too late. We wanted to make a family gathering celebrating the life of our mother. After her funeral services. Just like we did for our father who passed in Jan 2022. But unfortunately we were only given two options. Which did not work for us. We couldn’t give an exact headcount much less know what time we would arrive. So we had no choice but to go with our mom’s second choice place Las Generales located on Nacogdoches. Though Eddie’s Taco House sent flowers to our mom’s funeral. It still hurts that we were not able to gather there for our mom. And because of this like our mom, our family will never be a patron ever again!

RAANKOO MARQUEZ.

They have horrible service. I waited 30min and my food never arrived. The waiters and cooks are busy being lazy and chatty. Waiter was also very sassy and lazy. There are better places to get Tex-Mex food. Will not recommend and won’t be coming back.
