Love the food..employees are welcoming and are always ready to serve with a smile kind word. Which so much needed at other restaurants (that will remain unamed). This is my little hole in wall so to speak.

Feels like your in Grandma's kitchen. Very warm and atmosphere is wonderful. The owners make you feel like you're part of the family. The food is excellent. The tripas are so so good. Very fresh and tasty. They do close at 2pm. Come try this gem of a restaurant. You will not be disappointed.

Ok, so came here this morning based on the reviews I read. I'm not really sure, but I think I've become a breakfast taco snob...lol! I got the Carne guisada taco and the barbacoa taco. Excellent! They were huge and I really should have only eaten 1, but, OMG, they were delicious and I just couldn't stop eating them! The coffee was also excellent. I wonder if they would tell me what coffee beans they use. IDK, but, will definitely be coming back here whenever in SA!

The breakfast tacos are great. My favorites are the papa ranchera and the SPICEY carnitas w/ papas and bean.

The ambience for this small but amazing restaurant is top of the line.Wait staff was hospitable and helpful. The waitress who served us is the owner's sister who herself is the main chef in the kitchen. The restaurant has an A/100 cleanliness rating from the health department. This is absolutely commendable.Breakfast was to die for. I had huevos ranchers and the refried beans was the best I've ever had thus far. Some of the best corn tortillas I've tasted thus far as well.Their breakfast sides I had were sausage patties and were definitely home made from scratch. Absolutely the best ones I've tasted thus far. It's difficult to not have a top notch authentic Mexican mom and pop restaurant in San Antonio but this one makes my A+ list.

Went there on a Saturday morning around 9 a.m. The place has great vibes, nice homey feel as if you are at your abuelitas house for breakfast, very lively. The smells are invigorating and the service is prompt. They have a GREAT health inspection score, you can probably search this on your own, but it is VERY clean and you can see the kitchen area how everything is orderly and clean. The food that comes out of that kitchen is DELICIOUS! If you are a 2 breakfast taco person, you may only need one. They are big portions, the tortillas are just like 'mom used to make'.. perfectly made, great taste. I had a migas taco and a carne guisada taco,, the migas are crispy strips, colorful good chip/egg ratio and the carne G was superb! Wear loose pants, bring a smile and an appetite and enjoy this gem.
