It’s totally fine, but my standards are high after 30 years in this city. I’ve eaten at el Mirasol many times, and it’s never been bad, but it’s never been memorable or overly impressive, either. It’s adequate and consistent, which is better than many others. You won’t leave hungry or angry, most likely, but you also won’t leave saying “wow, that’s the best meal I’ve had in a long time”.
The food is marginal for the prices that they charge, but It's a lovely upscale looking place. However the last time we went there we showed up 20 minutes before closing and they turned us away saying that the kitchen was already closed and they couldn't serve even even appetizer foods at the bar for us?! Likely never going back.
Chispas are good and there are a couple waiters we prefer to have serve us. Food isn’t great but it isn’t bad. There is usually a wait, wish you could put yourself on a waiting list online.
