I was excited about the raffle for Spurs tickets—it seemed like a generous and fun way to show appreciation for customers! Unfortunately, that excitement turned into disappointment. Nowhere in the rules or guidelines did it say the winner had to respond by 5 PM. Despite this, the tickets were taken away because of a deadline that wasn’t communicated upfront.
Most people are busy between 8 AM and 5 PM, so it’s unfair to enforce an unannounced rule. Not only is this frustrating, but it’s also not a good business strategy. It leaves customers feeling scammed rather than valued.
If you’re going to run raffles, please make the rules clear and fair. Transparency goes a long way in building trust and loyalty.

The marble brisket was amazing the ribs are above average and the cream corn and potato salad are great. The only reason they didn't get five stars is because all the food was luke warm and brisket was cold. Pricing is average at $44 for two people I got the two meat and my wife got a sandwich with a sausage link.

I came here about 4 yrs ago. I came back due to the great tasting food. I ordered brisket sausage family pack w 3 sides. Brisket was good along with sausage. Potato salad looked great but yikes was really over-salted. Charro beans were ok. Rice @ beans same. Rice was a lil dry. It was just ok. I came back due to my first experience there. I ordered peach cobbler and I got a piece of flatbread with dried peach glaze. Tasted the cinnamon. I expecting a slice of peach cobbler pie. Prolly won't be back.

Visiting from northern NM. Brisket was moist and flavorful and good smoke flavor, bbq sauce not needed. Sausage had good smoke flavor. Rice and beans had good flavor and not too spicy. Creamed corn also tasty. Cornbread was a bit dry. Blueberry cornbread dessert was good, but would have preferred Peach cobbler.
Parking: Google is wrong and takes you to the parking next door.
Tiny indoor space (seats about 16 at three tables) but plenty of outdoor tables if you want to sit and enjoy your meal there. About $18-25 for a meal (entree, side, and drink), but juicy, tender, and lean meats with tasty side dishes, too. I didn't think the pan de campo had enough flavor by itself, but I absolutely loved El Monte's take on peach cobbler with the caramelized pan de campo resting on top of a bowl of what appeared to just be stewed (and caramelized?) peaches. Whatever one calls it, I loved it!

I definitely recommend El Monte BBQ for your next baby shower, event or family gathering. They were extremely friendly, on time. Everyone was asking where the Brisket was from and how tasty and delicious everything was. They definitely did not disappoint and will recommend to anyone looking for good brisket and friendly customer service.
