Delicious, affordable and a good variety of menu options. Everything I’ve tried, so far, has been tasty. I love the family meal options!

I had previously left a glowing review which I will leave below but I have to amend my overall review based on new information. I just picked up my order from the drive thru- the same order I place each week for 12 bean & cheese tacos. Today I asked for two bags of 6 each. Well, when I went to drop off the tacos to my daughter her bag didn't have six. I checked the second bag & it did have 6 tacos so I gave her that one & called the restaurant to let them know there had been a mistake and I was missing 2 tacos. This would have been totally fine & I would have been happy to stop by and pick up the other 2.
I explained what happened to the person who answered the phone, they placed me on hold & another person picked up & I explained again- then this person put me on hold & a third person picked up.
I was asked to explain again & she said she was the woman from the drive thru & she remembered my order. She then went through an elaborate explanation of how she remembered exactly putting the tacos in the bag. Basically a long way of telling me I was lying.
Well- I am sitting here with a bag of 4 tacos & not 6. So I told her when I opened the bag there were only 4 tacos. She went over her memory of packing the bag and additional two times (again basically telling me I am lying) which to me is the height of rudeness.
I understand that people do lie and take advantage of business owners & I even understand that this is a small business that can't afford to be giving things out for free. But I paid for my order & I tipped in the drive thru in cash. In fact I tip when I go through there every single week & this is the first time I have had an issue.
Which would be great right? What a solid record of getting the orders correct- except treating a customer so badly when they did in fact get the order wrong has forever tinted how I will view this place. To me how you behave when you get something wrong speaks louder than when things are going well. So no I no longer recommend this restaurant. They will not treat you with the respect you deserve if they make a mistake.

We have stopped here many times to pick up breakfast but today was the first day we stopped in to sit down for lunch. The service was excellent and the restaurant was beautiful. The food is always good. If you want a small independent restaurant- this one is a great place to stop!

Been here twice now since we moved back after 30 years. And I have to say, they have knocked it outta the park every, single, time. The fajita meat is a tad bit overcooked, but it's still delicious. Their breakfast tacos are out of this world. And their prices, you just can't beat! Especially the family meals.
Also, if you like menudo, this one is in my top 2 choice. Just full of meat and hominy and so very filling. Hell, I even finished off the broth.

This is our favorite Mexican food place in San Antonio. They have a take out window and provided excellent service throughout the pandemic. We have been customers since they opened. We get bean and cheese tacos a couple of times a week for our whole family. There are also lunch plate specials that are great.
The have been extremely polite and friendly to our family, even giving us Christmas cookies every year. They really make us feel like part of the family.
